The Triumvirate, or three bumps on a log, once more restored with Harry as puppeteer (in a special advisor capacity)? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image A triumvirate (Latin, triumvirātus, from trēs three + vir man) is a political regime dominated by three powerful individuals, each a triumvir (pl. triumvirs or triumviri). The arrangement can be formal or informal, and though the three are usually equal on paper, in reality this is rarely the case. The term can also be used to describe a state with three different military leaders who all claim to be the sole leader. In the context of the Soviet Union and Russia, the term troika (Russian for "threesome") is used for "triumvirate", directly borrowed from Russian language. Eventually the word "troika" came into usage in other contexts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumvirate
And therein lies the problem, the old boys club will just continue the same cycle of tosh we've seen for the past five years. Sherwood didn't get much out of Villa when he was in charge there so how would he do better with our bunch of under-achievers? Especially if he's not being paid the silly money he got in the Premier League. Sir Les's job as DoF is to improve us not create a cosy 'jobs for the boys club'. If JFH goes we have to look at better candidates or we'll be going nowhere...
Athough i have been vocal about Jimmy i would not want to lose him for 'Dim Tim'. The club keeps making mistakes and it's about time they get the next one right.
Nobody at the club seems capable of determining the right type of person needed to manage this club out of its predicament. I just don't see how Tim Sherwood is the right choice. But quite honestly, I don't see who would be the right choice right now. Someone who plays people in their strongest position would be good. Someone who buys a player to play in a specific role, and plays him there because he adds quality to the team would seem innovative right now. But we seem to prefer to do square pegs into round holes as the norm
Unfortunately, the 'right choice' was Steve Bruce, but the club failed to act quickly and now he's four unbeaten at basket case Villa and will most likely finish the season well above basket case QPR.
http://www.transfermarkt.com/trainer/verfuegbaretrainer/statistik#ath Lots of good Germans available. And even Guus, another Dutchman, a better, more experienced one
I do not always see eye to eye with Ellers. But mate I am with you 100% here. I so do not rate him as a manager or a man....only one person to my mind worse...Pearson (however he is a better manager than Sherwood)

how is the club, ever going to build something worthwhile when all we appear to do is have a manager in for 12 months, watch them dismantle a team they inherited, and bring in new players, only for them not gel, and then repeat the cycle all over again. As much as I wouldn't want Steve Bruce in charge, he would probably be the strongest character that we need to bring some stability back to the club. And then with his titles and success as a player, and success as manager at other clubs, at least the players would be playing for someone that know what they are talking about.
If JFH gets a win on Saturday, it buys him time. Should he not, regardless of who comes in, we as fans have to be a bit more realistic about our expectations. We change our minds so frequently, it's the case of 'we win - he's great, we lose-he's awful'. We're not going to get anywhere with that mindset. Sir Les, assess the squad, find a Manager who can utilise the players we have in a system which encourages positive, attacking football, and sign a RB in January.
Not that it always means much but it will be interesting to see if the club denies the rumours or not today...if like JFH i was a dead man walking not sure I'd want to wait until we won or lost tomorrow to know if I still had a job...
