Just a thought - what is it with Rogic ... the way he drags his feet when walking, how slow he was to get his feet to react to the Dybbuks goalie error and how he tires after 60 minutes in nearly every game? Personally, I think his boots are too heavy - they look like an old-fashioned pair possibly given to him by his Grandad. Sentimentality is all well and good but is it not time he bought a new, lighter pair?
I think Rogic is a fantastic player, his ability at turning players and his through balls are fantastic. On a technical level he is one of the best in the league. However, he's been with us 3 seasons now I think and he's been playing consistently since last season, so I can't understand why he still only manages 60 minutes either. Hopefully the signing of Jack Nayler can help improve his stamina.
Somewhere out there is the widely held belief that Celtic is a left wing club which espouses solidarity, social cohesion and support of the underdog. This myth has been allowed to grow down the years, to the extent that it has become self-perpetuating. Like most Celtic related matters, when one delves under the surface another more sinister picture emerges. Any stranger to Celtic Park will be astonished by the wide array of flags, banners and slogans which seem to endorse extreme political parties throughout the world. The most prominent flag is the tricolour of the Irish Republic. Personally, I have no problem with people remembering their ethnic heritage and place of origin, however the waving of the tricolour is not a celebration of the 'ould country', but a rather disgraceful political gesture. The tricolour is a symbol of militant Irish republicanism, nothing more nothing less. Anybody who sees it as anything else is a mug. At away games, the mask slips from the Celtic support and the venom and right wing rhetoric seeps out. Away from the sanitized arena of Celtic Park, we see the real, unadulterated face of the Celtic supporter. An unapologetic celebration of terrorism, directed at the country who gave them a home. The esteemed Norman Tebbit once said that those immigrants who wanted to show their allegiance to the United Kingdom should always pass the 'cricket test'. His comments were directed at the Asian population of the country, but they could as easily have been directed to Celtic supporters. The IRA is a fascistic organization, from its very creation it has never hidden its desire to create a right wing Irish republic where democracy would be crushed and minorities persecuted. The unionist population of any putative United Ireland would have no place, and would be driven into the sea. These are the people Celtic supporters worship in their weekly sing ins. They also support the criminal activities of the PLO another organization prescribed as terrorist. Their murderous campaign against the State of Israel is based on one terrible principle; the State of Israel has no right to exist and all Jews should be thrown out. The of course there is the support of Basque terrorists in Spain, admittedly a smaller and more quixotic group, nevertheless ETA has murdered many ordinary Spanish policemen and politicians in their crazy drive for independence. Celtic supporters confuse their 'rebellious' nature with having right-wing, extreme views. They simply have not thought through the logic of their political allegiances. Finally, for a club that prides itself on its social mission and objective to help the downtrodden another more disturbing picture emerges. Celtic is not the all inclusive supporter friendly club like say Barcelona or Rangers, it is led by Dermot Desmond a man who made his millions through a property bubble in Dublin. The new chairman is a major figure in the banking world and an establishment figure. Paul McBride Q.C. is a leading figure in the Scottish Conservative Party. Little Fergus McCann may have spoken about the need to help the less fortunate, but it didn't stop him pocketing millions when he ran back to Canada. http://forum.followfollow.com/showthread.php?781049-Celtic-and-fascism-(53-Viewing) So much wrong with this, not sure where to begin. That whole thread is mental.
Aye, it's an old post. One of them was posting about the Republic and Celtic Park leaving their lights on to guide German bombers
I like how left-wing is seen as a 'quality' The term actually originates from France, where the left-wing of the parliament was where all the tramps, waifs ans strays were kept. Seems nowt's changed <ROFL><ROFL><ROFL><ROFL>
Mr Barton still not allowed back - wonder what he really did to incur such wrath ... maybe he called 'Warbs' tactics useless? ;-) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37788528
