Good, we've needed to replace Touchie-Feelie Skrtel ever since he left!
To be honest, they we're both pulling and tugging each other!

Michael Edwards stepping up to sporting director role. Highly thought of by fsg and recommended by Klopp that have a SD after he worked with them at Mainz and Dortmund. Apparently strong relationship between the 2.

Was planning on replacing comoli when he left but fsg were talked out of it by Rodgers who wanted full control.

As as long as Klopp is happy to work with that model which seems he definitely is and they aren't both on same wavelength in terms of personnel then should be a good move.

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has asked his agent to say sorry to City manager Pep Guardiola. After Dimitri Seluk criticised Guardiola's decision to leave the 32-year-old out of his side, the Spaniard said he would not be selected again until Seluk apologised. (Mirror)

Good for Pep for sticking to his guns. Agents have become a deaease in football....and Toure's agent, Seluk seems to think he can say/do whatever he wishes with no issue.

How has he proven to be an idiot? He's proven to have identified and signed some good players.

What? I highly doubt he's **** at his job if Klopp has ok'd him in that role. Seems they have a good strong relationship so should work well and understand what each requires.

Nah, Klopp has first and last say so I don't care. As long as he can get Klopp's targets at the right price quickly, before our competitors, I don't care.

If he overpays, under values then loses or just doesn't deliver, then it will be an issue. If he rocks up with a Mario, Klopp will tell him to do one....

The perception of Edwards has changed so much from when Rodgers was in charge. He was the laptop guy who clashed with Rodgers over transfers.

Imagine if only Rodgers had less say in transfers - he may have still been in the job.

At least we now have a team of people who are working together.

I see a lot of it'll be alright stop worrying comments with heads buried in the sand.

    reality check.

FSG search for CEO.. fail... appoint ayre.

FSG appoint rogers.. ok so they then eventually go get klopp after we flop.

FSG promote edwards consistently even after transfer debacle after transfer debacle (under rogers yes)

its a theme here. they try to get by with just enough constantly. this guy is no technical director. unless klopp is pulling his strings hes going to make clownish mistakes.

I can only imiagine the disaster he's going to make of the proposed training ground and our transfers.

    Head in the sand? No.

How the hell do we know what the structure and boundaries of roles is now, what it will be in the future, what it actually was in the past.

If the talk was that Klopp had reservations then I would. He doesn't.

I can judge on what's happened since Rodgers left = dead wood and nearly men out, talent in.

Have we even bought a flop since Klopp has been in charge? Did many of us question some of the acquisitions over the summer!? Yes we did.

So, right now, head completely out of the sand, the system is working. This is an extension to that system that Klopp agrees with. I'm ok with that and base it on what I see now. it may or may not work or may need tweaking but standing still should never be an option, sorry. Not moving forward at all and never trying anything because 'it never worked last time' is more head in the sand than this tbh <ok>

The January window opens in less than two months, likelihood is Klopp wants another wide attacker. (Tony Barrett)

According to Tony Barrett Firmino is the best Liverpool player and he has been underrated.

    course he is....

so have a half a dozen others.

theres a few on here who've said how vital he is... like jurgen i think.

I think the lads work rate ad ability is under rated as it lacks a wonder goal or two. coutinho produces stikes to goo over. firmino hasn't yet hit one really this season. the pundits really are that shallow cos really they get 1 min max to sum up a whole game at times.

to really analyse you need to be a broad sheet journo like barrett... not that he does much of it.
