Despite that announcement it became clear the group were not far down the line with their bid, with due diligence having not been taken, nor had an application gone to the Premier League to conduct their Fit and Proper Person's Test.

However, the Mail understands due diligence has now started with regard to the GCPSL consortium. While that in itself is no indication as to a deal being close, it does demonstrate the consortium are still firmly in the running to purchase the club along with a number of other groups including American/Chinese businessman Chien Lee.

So am I right in thinking that we are all ok, more or less, with the continued Allam reign?

Gone are the organised protests. Gone is the anger. Do HCST still exist?

Yeah I still hear the chants at the games. But it seems as though everyone has meekly accepted the status quo. The last time the pressure was upped, at the Leicester game was the closest the club was to being sold.

Though I have my suspicions that the only reason it was agreed was because the Allams probably knew that they would fail a fit and proper persons test (not that they would ever sell to anyone without the club’s best interests at heart, oh no).

Now we get these occasional drip-feed snippets of alleged potential buyers but the pressure is off the Allams, bar the odd match-day chant. They don’t need to sell and have shown so by putting the asking price up from £100m in June to £130m now.

This despite our already high chance of relegation, and therefore our continued drop in real value – not Allam imagination land value. Ooh just think, maybe they could afford to buy Flamingo Land with the sale money. And rename it, of course.

I don’t believe that the Allams want to sell. I never have. They are bitter and twisted, plus I suspect Ehab likes the glamour of “running” a football club. We want them to sell and they will continue to hold out. By the way is the rumour that Ehab is dating a porn star true? Maybe she could run the club.

The more hopeful assessment of the “acceptance of the Allams” (that does sound like a horror movie title, doesn’t it?) is that my fellow fans are just beyond despair. Until the Allams next stick the knife in with another offensive scene of fan punishment.

It is my view that the pressure has to be increased in an organised (and legal) way. If the club is not sold by the January transfer window, we will have no chance of buying any players to keep us in the Premiserable League. And don’t forget the time that it will take for the Premier League to assess and approve.

The pressure must be increased now. Don’t ask me what the answer is though! I have a following of about 3.5 people so I’m waiting (and hopefully nudging) others along.

Though the timing for a continued run of anti-Allam pressure is not great. Next weekend is the international break – the weekend after away against Sunderland.

And it might not be long before “Phelan Out” becomes a phenomenon. I have some sympathy for him in terms of what he was allowed to spend in the transfer market, but not signing any form of back-up right-back was a shocking decision, and it seems like he is not so tactically aware during games either.


I’m not yet in the basket of Phelan Out, but he doesn’t have a bank of goodwill like Steve Bruce had. Defeat to Sunderland in 3 weeks time and relegation looms. Already.

How could the Allams know they'd fail a fit and proper persons test? Silly point.
Bit like he wants to protest but doesnt know what to do...

We are abit of a downtrodden lot in hull arnt we, the ol woe is me attitude and accepting being shat on is strengthening through the generations, fish came in for some right stick even had fishs heads posted through his door at the height of it, but here we are happy to let the allams create a bidding war to maximise there profit while we sit back and take the bait.

Soooooo how long we thinking this drawn out lets get every potential buyer possibly intersted interested will last ?

I reckon end of the season aftern weve been relegated and nothings being invested during january

I think that's sort of the point I was making on the other thread.
Not just about the current bidding war protracted sale / no sale, but all the sh_ite to date, of which there is a sh_ite load of.
So meek and accepting. Our protesting ability is absolutely sh_ite. It's as sh_ite as the Allams are sh_ite owners, so all square I guess.

This is proper business now with due diligence and proper checks needed. This isn't the Belton/ Hinchliffe/Wilby/ Buchanan era when the club was worth **** all and any old chancers could breeze in.

People have protested, and the Allams have been driven out of attending (an odious apparition in May at Wembley excepted) and are in the Departure Lounge. Protesting at this stage will not hasten their exit, as that depends on the banks, the financial consultants, the lawyers etc.
Slate the Allams for their selfishness, their vanity, their ignorance, their foolishness, their petty spite, their crackpot ideas that have made this a pariah club, their lies, their broken promises, their lack of integrity, their complete failure to engage with their landlords and customers, their absence of leadership, their failure to project a vision, their squandering of almost untold goodwill and lucrative commercial opportunities, their inability to leave a positive legacy, their terrible handling of the good managers this club had has during their tenure, their crass bungling of concession ticketing, their shrinking of our fanbase, our stupid 'anonymous' badge and the lies about being 'unsure what we'll be called next season' and the failure to rectify it, their lack of humility, their expensive turnstile failures, the closing of the ticket office, the dead atmosphere at home games, the failure to sell out games against the biggest teams in the country, the worst following at a Championship play off final ever (?), a mean and penny pinching attitude towards many low paid staff and employees, their dereliction of media duties, and a general utter ineptitude, but not this.
