No....it's because these conversations are draining. End of the day I'm going home and still worshipping the Lord almighty above and you will still think he is a ****, even though you don't believe in him.

See I summarised it and saved us a debate.

That's the trouble with religious types they assume too much. I'm not sure what the expletive is starred but I think I can guess. Because I'm an atheist it doesn't mean I hold a derogatory opinion of anybody's God. I'm dissapointed you've fallen into that category.

Is Fosse your grandad?

I prefer sci-fi/fantasy as a form of escapism tbf ... currently I'm undertaking a critical treatise on a series of Novellas that could loosely be collated under a collective title of "The Life Of HIAG" ... if somewhat poorly written and with the main character lacking any real substance or depth, the imagination behind some of the storylines is, nevertheless, quite impressive. Unfortunately, this is somewhat undermined by themes and sub-plots that are often poorly researched and have a palpable pausity of detail overall, leaving the reader with the distinct impression that the author has minimal knowledge of particular subject areas and certainly no real life experiences of such. Rather a shame <laugh>

ohh I dunno, referring to someone's faith as a fairytale is quite derogatory. If they wanted to be bothered by that they would pull you up on it...don't bother me though. You also implied incest to some biblical characters...ohh once again I think that was a veiled dig ..if someone cares enough to be offended by it. Not me though.

You fell into you're own category there it seems.

On the contrary you used a derogatory profanity assuming I have no core belief. Yet a 'fairy tale' is hardly in that category. I think a conversation with highburial might be the better option as you seem to have a closed attitude to others beliefs.

Apparently, JWs believe that illegitimate children cannot gain entry into the Kingdom of Paradise.

Best defence that Bambi has, therefore, is to inform them, right from the off, that he's a boring bastard, and that should do the trick. No point in them speaking to Bambi!

Please, no thanks, Bambi.
is that actually true from JW or you making this up!

I don't think its necessarily closed attitude or anything to others belief from anyone though, the most important thing is to have an open debate but at the same time have an respectful debate with the mind to understand from both sides. Lot of the times the two may not agree with each other but that's the reality/beauty of having different debates.

The thing I find on forums with lot of people who want to have a debate/conversation is that they have an hidden agenda to try and find the something and say gotcha no matter how much you explain the truth/reality of certain religious practices.

Debates one thing condescending behaviour is another...

Are you aware that Mick doesn't like the editing of other people's posts? God you haven't changed have you!

<doh>
Everyone does it!

Probably, yes, I invented it, but everyone else has stolen it and has been using it as a viable wumming tactic for at least the past 5 years!

Things have changed since you were banged up, Robbie. Life has moved on. Chill.

Don't worry I have no hidden agenda not look to point score. In fact I never bought the subject up but found some of the comments interesting and some closed but that's how's it works I guess.

That was told to me by two JWs. I presume it's standard teaching. It's one of the reasons why I think they are a waste of time.

I'm sure that another of their beliefs is that only 188,000 can get into Heaven. I'm sure there are more JWs around the World than that, that have ever lived or will live? Sounds a bit defeatist to me, therefore.

So you admit you're not here for any meaningful or football discussion but just attempt piss taking.

Seems your only intention is to seek attention by any means available to you. It's quite sad that after all these years you've actually degraded from a nuisance to a dick head.

But be mindful because from what I've seen there's others here that are better at what you purport to be and better educated. You have to ask yourself what strange satisfaction you take from the daily verbal battering you receive.

It's 144,000 and its taken from the book of Revelations, apparently the 144k go to heaven to be King like, and the rest who don't make the cut are guaranteed erternal life on Earth as second prize.

And people actually believe this ****.....
