Is that the one that was 8 miles long and people were ordering food to be delivered to their cars?

On the Beijing - Tibet Expressway near to Beijing. Apparently trucks carrying coal and construction supplies to Beijing were prevented from leaving the motorway causing the jam, apparently 62 miles long, lasting 12 days - insane !

I can just imagine Victor Meldew's reaction to being caught up in that one. <laugh>

Which Football Challenge Cup tie started nearly twenty years ago but has yet to be finished?

It was a UK competition first seen in 1959 - and one of the first two teams to play also played in the year in question.

The two teams in the 1959 match were Notts Forest and St. Mirren.

There was the Anglo-Scottish cup tie in 1987-88 between Coventry and St Mirren where the first leg was played, but the competition was scrapped before the second leg. (Forest in 1959 was the big clue, so I wondered if Cup winners had something to do with it).

You got it Barry - although the competition wasn't actually scrapped, the clubs simply couldn't agree on a return leg date. It was actually an attempt to revive the Anglo-Scottish Cup which failed - so I suppose St. Mirren could claim to have won both the first and last of the cups (on away goals after a 1-1 draw at Coventry).

    Over to you...

Gary Kirsten was the last in December 1995, and Shahadat Hossain was the first in March 2010. What am I referring to?

Kirten was the last batsman to score centuries against all the other test playing countries in the 20th century and Hossain was the first in the 21st century?

No - what I'm referring to is the taking of their wickets, and despite what the answer is, both were in their own country.
