Off Topic Vote - HIAG's best wum **** up

I tend to agree. It wasn't even an issue until Saints/HIAG decided to try and score cheap points with it. Saints jumped on Ginger's comment, then HIAG joined in. They both then started giving it the faux moral outrage, until I pointed out that HIAG had made similar comments and exposed their hypocrisy.

It should never really have been an issue in the first place.

 

In the particular instance to which (I assume) you are referring, I think I likened Skiddy to a special needs' person who, when on a bus, screams abuse at fellow passengers.

It is a fact that there are such unfortunates who do this. I am not making fun of them, I am merely observing that there are those who exhibit these traits. In likening Skiddy's behaviour to such persons, I am not casting any aspersions on those unfortunates who suffer these types of behaviours. I am not even insulting Skiddy, as I am merely observing that Skiddy acts like someone with this unfortunate condition.

In the past, I have observed that Pixie exhibits the same type of behaviours that are exhibited by those suffering with Autism. The trait that I had most in mind is that where the sufferer fixates on one particular subject or task or activity, and cannot break away from it. It is a fact that this is a trait of certain Autistic people, and it is a fact that Pixie has, on many occasions, exhibited this trait.

In neither instance - regarding either Skiddy or Pixie - have I mocked persons suffering a mental disability.

Further, if it is admitted by either Skiddy or Pixie that they do, in fact (as I have closely observed) suffer from a mental disability, I would be the first to offer my sincere sympathies to either of them and my apologies if they took anything I said as being insensitive to their condition.

I cannot see Pixie's comments, but I really do hope that he isn't trying to defend Skiddy's deplorable attack on Matth for being mentally disabled.

No mediation needed here. HIAG and Saints have tried to wum and have ended up exposing their hypocrisy.
They could have avoided it if they had wanted to.

So, let's summarise.

Bambi has refused point-blank to condemn Skiddy's vicious and insensitive attack on Matth's mental disorder. I presume that Pixie is refusing to do the same?

Assuming that this is to remain their stance, I cannot see that we have any choice but to move on from this sorry episode, although I am sure that all of you, like me, will have been left soiled by the experience.

Yep, Piskie will still not speak directly about skiddy's comments. He can set the record straight if he likes but for now he thinks what skiddy said was perfectly acceptable

It's all about context mate. Skiddy didn't imply that matt had Autism, he used it as a stick to beat him with. Hiag has done what you claim shouldn't be considered insulting, skiddy has done something completely different.

... I've neither condemned or condoned it ... I've commented that I wouldn't have referred to it personally which would be indicative of my views on the subject to all but a dumb ass like yourself ...

I would however appreciate it if you could find it within yourself to offer the board a sincere apology for your references to autism and childhood mental conditions which have been an all too frequent last resort of yours on the many occasions that you have been left naked and squirming in battles of wit and penmanship on this forum.... such vicious and insensitive outbursts must be hurtful and humiliating to those who are unfortunate enough to suffer from such conditions, as I'm sure we all agree...

Please don't bottle this like you have done on other issues ... your inability to take reponsibility for your actions is embarrassing for all of us ... we expect higher standards of behaviour from fellow football fans. .
