So I will ask - will Thistlecrack take to the fences and how far do you think he will go?

Because he travelled so well over hurdles we've real got to ask will fences slow him down too much. If he jumps really well he has to be a major contender for the big one.

Bangor sees the chase debut of Hunters Hoof in the second race - he's best priced 10/3 third fav opposing the often disappointing Value at risk . Seems the forums favorite with a capital F Trainer has given the nod to the owners - time will tell whether it's the G&T talking ... I'm on !! Good luck if you play

I'd be happy to see him put in a good round and win tomorrow. He will have been well schooled and certainly has the size and scope for chasing. Imagine he strolls round and wins in a hack canter, he'll be 2/1 fav for the gold cup <laugh> #sillyprices

Bookies certainly aren't wanting any cash for The Crack. 1/7 <yikes> thought they might be offering some 1/3 at least given it is his first time fencing in public.

They'll have the cheek to cut him then after he wins for all the major races even though he's facing mediocre opposition to the say the least.

If old chap Kingy has Bastien fit to do himself justice tomorrow, then the Bangor bumper looks a formality. Currently 5/2. Interesting to see how the market reacts throughout the next 20 or so hours.

My prediciton will be he won't make it to the festival! Have just got a horrible feeling He will b flying over fences and then take a crashing tumble or something will happen at home like Coneygree! But if he makes it to the festival he will go to the gold cup he is an old novice compared to the likes of others so he does have the mental experience but he won't win the Gold Cup!

Also how is Ballyoptic Fav for the race his form is surely not as strong as the likes of the above, Ifindoubt or even Saphir Du Rheu

SDR is entered all over the place isn't he? Ballyoptic is rated 152 now but could well be much better than that whilst ifindoubt is exposed and rated 153.

He definitely should be the favourite for me over the field entered.

Laser Light 1.30 Chepstow (5/2 taken)
    Wins.

Alan King has a very nice horse on his hands here. Came from the Irish point to point scene, where he was only a half length behind Robin Roe who absolutely hacked up for the Skeltons in a strong Aintree maiden on Sunday. They really rate this lad at Barbary Caste, this is nigh on being a certainty.

Both Laser Light and Bastien have lines through the Robin Roe form!
That Bangor bumper could be the best the course has ever staged, Bastien, Le Breuil and Sandymount all bring quality formlines to the table and Ronnie O'Learys record in UK bumpers is exceptional and he saddles a well bred debutante in Cherokee Prince.
