Alan King very open in saying the Hennessy is his primary target and that today's trip could be on the sharp side for him. Doesn't exactly scream "he'll be primed for this today"

Absolutely Oddy, but if we were to ask the question "Was the horse ridden to its merits?"- I think there would be a case to answer. But its happening day in day out in this con fest, with blind eyes all round.

Looking forward to the serious Grade One stuff where it's a bit more genuine.

Genuinely can't stand their coverage. Everything is far too serious. Cunningham no worse than the rest but he's on channe 4 so deserves the inordinate amount of criticism.

I really like Steve Mellish and Jonathan Neesom - they've forgotten more about NH racing than I will ever know. Lydia Hyslop I can take or leave but she gets the job done without being annoying.

16:40 Wincanton - Billy My Boy

(Did quite well LTO at Exeter, although he might have had a hard race, which was won in the fast time of 3m 49.64s (fast by 4.36s) on G/F ground. Going a little easier today. Took a bit of the 4/1 on offer by Laddies atm).

<applause> <ok>

Line came at the right time.

At a big price I want to back Treacle Tart e/w- she was only a tiny little thing when she ran on debut but she looked tenacious enough and I'd be hopeful of progression over time.

Jose -a club too far -his methods are questionable and now they patently don't cut it - what next ?

We are bemoaning the ride given to Smad Place but that was not the non trier of the day for me...check out the ride given to BUYWISE today. Starts off right at the back red cap!

Laughable ........................... BUT there are clues everywhere. Was this just a pipe opener for a chasing campaign (as you would expect) or are they trying to protect his hurdles mark for a bigger target? Hmmmmmmmmm.

Problem Jose has got is he doesn't know how to play attractive football and therefore he isn't catering to the Utd DNA.

You could live with them developing for a couple of seasons if they were losing with all guns blazing.

Ironically, he is becoming Wenger and living on old methods and not changing. He refuses to accept the need for a plan B or C.

He needs to loosen up but he seems too stuck in his ways.
