Why does it have to be one factor that is totally to blame?

    Is Phelan at fault? Yes.
Are the Allams at fault? Yes.
Are the players at fault? Yes.

Whose job is it to reverse the rapid onset of this malaise? Everyone's. I doubt the Allams are that keen to get involved so it's down to Phelan and the players to get together and reset.

It's a shame we have a midweek fixture, they need time together at the training ground. I'd expect us to put out a first XI on Tuesday, Snodgrass excepted, with a back to basics 442 formation.

They had a week after Bournemouth and it didn't improve much. I am hoping to see us go for it against Brizzle. In reality they are going to go at us and win and I will drive home wondering why I bothered.

I accept that we should not exclude Mike Phelan and I understand your point. I think we need a rallying point. The team had it at the start of the season with their pre and post match huddles.

I do not believe in hounding out anyone.
I do not think that many people will disagree, but...

Can we stop all dragging over the coals of what is wrong and start to put something together to make it right.

Please not 4-4-2, it's definitely calling for 3-5-2 at the moment, a blind man could see that, unfortunately Phelan may just be deaf, dumb and blind!

We'll be playing in front of 12-13k in the New Year unless the club is sold.

Cancelling a membership is easier psychologically then cancelling a season ticket.

Wrong I know but I find myself thinking what a beautiful thing it would be if we got relegated, the Allam's couldn't sell for a price that would cover their outstanding loans/debts, they had to write a ****load of money off to enable an escape, and they lose a fortune.

It's an ill wind that blows no good.

He must definitely be f""king stupid that is a fact!!! A ridiculous decision to go with Keane on his own again especially at home.

And they had two weeks to prepare for Bournemouth then played as though they'd just met each other in the car park half an hour before the game.
It cannot be easy for Phelan with staff leaving in droves but this is what they all do for a living, and a very good one they get too. I just cannot fathom out why he picked that team to play at home against Stoke when it was clearly a winnable game if we attacked them. FFS he sent a second string to their place not so long ago and beat them so what was he frightened of ? Stoke hadn't won away since March yet Phelan sets us up as though we are in a two legged tie against Barcelona and the first leg was away.
Time for the senior players to call a meeting, show some balls, and sort this mess out before it's too late.

The squad needed a massive refreshement after the summer

We have players like meyler, huddlestone, elomohamady, maloney even maybe hernandez who are no longer or have never been in some cases premiership class, it needed alot of investment to take us from being a yoyo club to establishing ourselfs like stoke, west brom, palace etc we also have the likes of clucas, maguire, odubajo and robertson all young players finding there way. It needed a very savvy and efficient transfer window we all knew this, it went totally tits up hardly any investment whatsover and all last ninute the prepeation has been an absolute disgrace follwed by most of the backroom staff leaving the club isnt in a good state at all we know the allams are only intrerested in how much profit they can make over how the team does currently and theyve dragged it on to create an auction and get the best possible price at the expense of the playing and coaching side of the club

All we can do is tough it out till these ****ing parasites have left the club and hope its sooner rather than later so we can possibly salvage something out if this mess really hope its done by xmas so we can see investment in january and heavey investment at that

Those twats would just sit and sit, milk the parachute payments collect the interest they charge. They are in a win win no matter what they do. They havent lost a penny since they walked through the door, though of course they will tell you they've sold the family silver to keep the club afloat.

352 can end up being very defensive - 532 - if the team has no confidence and is shy of attacking. It worked a treat late on yesterday when Stoke had tired. I wouldn't be so keen to start with it though.

    1. On his own, the first 10-15 minutes the others were getting close to him, then it stopped & we look lost.
    2. Yes
    3. He started there a few times last year & looked alright, having said that, that was the Championship & we don't have a lot of options now. He did look ****.
    4. True, but no other options, unless 352 & Elmo is there.
    5. He can play there but as usual his attitude is ****, for whatever reason, same as last year when Odubajo came in, this year he has no challenger so is getting picked out of necessity.
    6. True, lack of options again, but he showed late on he can put a good cross in when further forward.
    7. 20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing, although 352 has been crying out for it for weeks.
    8. True.
    9. I know people go on about we can't play the kids, but with no LB & Elmo completely too comfortable with no challengers, we need something different. If ever there was a time when we need a bit of a boost, it's this season.

But why should the Allams or anyone else throw their personal fortune at the club?

Burnley havent spent a fortune and theyre doing better than us. We'd have beaten them easily last year if it wasnt for that clueless **** Bruce in charge. I know this cos clever ****s on here told me. We had a PL quality squad and it was all Bruces fault.

I have no problem with a small transfer budget. The FACT is it was spent poorly, piss poorly in FACT. FACT

Your number 4 was the solution, we should have started 352 and that was my point. With the players, we have at the moment, 352 suits. We have a dearth of full backs but a surplus of midfielders, Elmo and Clucas (if Clucas has to play out wide) is better suited to a wing back than full back. Also, it gives us 2 up front which helps Hernandez not having to play the lone striker which he is not suited too.
