I had a tear in my eye, Had a tear in my eye 10th December when I went to this place that night and all they did was play Otis songs all night. Actually, more than a tear. Went to the bogs in embarrassment to find it full of supposedly super cool mod types blubbing their eyes out.
Incidentally this was the place where Jimmy Savile (regrettably)got his career off the ground. He was after a job and asked the what their quietest night was and told them he could make it a lot better. They said if he could he had a job. So first week he puts up notices saying it was full. After a few weeks of thatbut was rammed as people came to see what the attraction was. A **** but nifty at marketing.
