Faith schools are divisive and damaging. Northern Ireland does a good job of illustrating that.
People can teach their kids about their religions in their own time. Religious education in schools should be about all faiths.

Agreed. I'd go further and say that schools should be secular. Fine to teach about religions, but from an academic standpoint rather than as embedded in the doctrine of the school's ethos. I resent that fact that as a taxpayer, my taxes are being used to indoctrinate children.

No, he just holds a different set of beliefs to most Born-Again Christians.

They were damaging comments though, and given the context of his job and the culture he was in, they were cruel and unnecessary. Add to the fact that many disabled people actually hold the view that their disability has brought them more opportunities and life enrichment, the view that it is a punishment is particularly clumsy.

Whether he holds different beliefs or not they shouldn't be aired by an England manager as they were hurtful and spiteful towards disabled people and their families. He was rightfully sacked for being a religious flake and a **** manager.

I don't defend batshit religious views, but I do defend people's right to hold them.
Should a Buddhist not be allowed to manage a football team?

Oh, dear! Is Pixie having a pop at Spurs because Glenn held well established and ancient Eastern beliefs?

There is no level to which he will not stoop, is there!

No, I'm having a pop at Hoddle because he was a twat to come out with what he did when he was England manager.

If that's a reply to Pixie asking for proof that the Dalai Lama believes that physical defects are evidence of the sins of past lives, then it's...

Do you support Hoddle's views that disabled people are paying for their sins in a previous life, or do you believe that they are inappropriate comments for an England manager to make ?

I don't agree with his views, but the idea that he should have to conceal them is rather dodgy.
As I said earlier, who decides what's acceptable?

I would've avoided the question in his position, to be honest.
It seems like a poor precedent to set for a football manager, though.

I think you've answered the first part of your comment, with the second.
