Lallana came on and made a difference. Sturridge is backup at best and makes no effort. If he was a player who needs one chance be worth keeping but he's too lazy for a klopp team for me.

What's a realistic value we could get for him?

I'm thinking 25-30mill. Fair or too cheap? TV money has over valued players so not sure.
I've been reluctant to sell Sturridge because he has a real talent, but I agree he just doesn't seem to fit in a Klopp team. The energy isn't there when he replaces any of the other four.
I'm coming round to the idea of selling him and investing in someone who can fit in better when one of the others is missing.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho on BBC Sport: “It is not the result we wanted but it is a positive result, it is a result that stops a direct opponent getting three points at home so not a bad result.
“The game was difficult for both teams but for longer periods it was more difficult for them than us.
“We controlled the game not just tactically but the emotion of the game, that was probably the quietest Anfield I had and I was expecting it to be the other way.
“I think was a positive performance.
“If you analyse the game see the reason why did it, playing Young and Fellaini. We had control of the game – there were two amazing saves by David de Gea it’s true but they were out of context.
“The reaction from their crowd was permanent disappointment. People expected us to come here and be really in trouble, which we were not.
“The team was always comfortable, we lacked a little bit of sharpness in more attacking positions. There was a moment I thought about playing Rashford in the Pogba position behind Zlatan but then the kid had cramps.
“This is a point that stopped them winning three. Other candidates for the title have easier fixtures at moment and it is important to keep close to them – our opportunity to get five wins in a row will come.”

says it all really

the rest is pure Moureen bullshit. I look forward to the 5 game winning streak. and the two De Gea save "were out of context" context of what? all your fluent attacking verve? utter ****!

LVG got lambasted by United fans last year for playing boring football. Mourinho spends 150 million and labeled a master tactician by playing the same boring football.

Utd have done a job? In the battle for top four they come to get a solitary point? How the mighty have fallen, worst Utd side in years.

Like it or not, Mourinho came to get at least a point. If they had won it would have been a bonus for them.

There is boring football and boring football. As an outsider to the mancs, with LVG you got sleep inducing boring football but with Mourinho you get a more physical dangerous boring football <yikes>

Well, what did that game show us. Liverpool are pretty **** at attacking if a team actually defend and press them high, Rashford is wasted on the right.
You lot had a goodish 25 mins in the second half but beyond that were poor "under the lights at Anfield". Did you have an off night (like usual when you don't over run teams) or were you made to look poor?
I am very disappointed we didn't win that, we were clearly the better team for 75% of the game. 2 points lost in my opinion.

You do realise most of the game was played in your half?
Save me reading back, how many red cards and penalty's should we have had against us?

Your 75% amounted to 1 shot on target. Crap players or crap manager?

First half I said mate. You didn't string together a move in their half for nearly 30 minutes....

I was disappointed United didn't have more of a go second half as a game might have broken out

Actually agree...been watching with manc mate and just said to him I'm surprised the likes of Malta didn't come on second half when it opened up...I honestly thought that was the plan...but Mourinho was yet again super negative

Just listened to both managers...ours said we were ****e...politely.

Mourio said job done because he kept crowd quiet and we (liverpool)had a harder game than we thought....oh and it's ibras fault he missed his one chance....that's shocking from a United manager....sorry but it is.

Criticising us..we got played in that we've been convinced into trying to save energy in first half so it didn't open up still 0-0 against two banks of four for the first. Because that's what we've done wrong in the past...as Klopp said (and I did first half lol) we gave ball away too much even when not under pressure.

So 0-0....

Ibra was in Lovren pocket... what's more embarrassing <whistle>

@Diego you came with a plan and it worked to a point, over the years you'd have nicked a goal. Teams will defend against us but will they have the quality on the pitch that you have?
It was a 50/50 game IMO we had the better of the 2nd half and De Gea pulls off a world class save.
I'm never happy with a point but it'll do for now and we'll get better as the season goes on.
