Towards the end of the second article is the best line of the lot... "Would Spurs fans swap Pochettino for Ryan Giggs? They would laugh so hard at the question that wee would come out."
I don't think you should even be considered for management jobs in the PL just because you were a great footballer. Learn your trade as a manager in the lower leagues.
Ryan should start out at Bury, if they would be good enough to let him, and earn his stripes. He won't do that, so we won't see him in the dug out any time soon.
Brilliant. Simply brilliant. Will the people on here who were actually suggesting Glen Hoddle for the England job two weeks ago, please step forward, read this and then tell us if you think you were wrong or Danny Baker has lost his marbles
Anyone not read it, read Danny Baker's autobiography.... I have read episode 1, but yet to read episode 2.
It's a little like shooting fish in a barrel but that doesn't mean it's not fun. Seriously, does anyone think that Giggs deserves a Premier League berth? What football management abilities has he ever displayed? Vin
Yeah I know, maybe the joke is on us for reading about/listening to it. But that's why there's no point moaning about our lack of coverage. You really do get better analysis on not606.
A very good question. The best he managed, was to keep one of the most sordid affairs I'd ever heard about under wraps for so many years. Does that count for something?
http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/10606904/premier-league-bogeyman-for-your-club-revealed Mousa Dembele is apparently our bogeyman. He has been on the winning side against us 5 times.
Endless build up on Sky for the Liverpool/United game. May be big for the teams involved, but I don't think it is as massive a game to others that it was. Years ago I would view it as a chance to watch two footballing teams playing each other, but the difference in quality between teams in the EPL is much less than it was, so can't see it as special any more.
I'm actually really excited about the game. I will only turn the tv on just before it starts though. I just can't handle sky repeeatedly masturbating over Klopp and Mourihno.
http://sportwitness.co.uk/ronald-koeman-says-everton-couldnt-recruit-sammy-lee-liverpool/ Koeman talking about the Sammy Lee situation. He said that Saints refused to let Lee and Watson leave with him and, even when we let Lee go because Puel brought in staff, he decided against taking him because of the Liverpool connection. Added that he was glad Sammy was still involved with England. I hope Lee keeps his job there as I really enjoyed seeing his mad enthusiasm again.
Big argument on Soccer Saturday about whether a goal should be allowed from an accidental hand ball. Law should be simplified here...if an accidental handball is not a foul...fine, but no goal should be allowed that is put in from a hand whether a foul or not. Simple change to put such an argument to bed....I would be furious if a striker kicked a ball onto his own hand (thus changing its movement from the defenders/keepers POV).
