Little Feet were an iconic band. Somehow I never really 'got into them' - don't know why? Perhaps I just need to revisit some of their albums.
Iconic is true. They were the band every other band loved. You'd always hear them played through the PA before a gig.
Some of the albums were bitty. There was internal strife a lot of the time. Most consistently good albums are 'Dixie Chicken':

The live album. 'Waiting for Columbus'

And Lowell George's solo album, 'Thanx, I'll Eat It Here':

There's some great stuff on 'Hoy Hoy,' which is a mishmash of unreleased stuff - they found the best version of 'Rock & Roll Doctor' in a brown paper bag in Lowell's garage after he died:

The reformed Little Feat were pretty good without Lowell. I saw them and they blew me away. Mind, it was sunset on a California beach and somebody had passed me a huge doob but still, my jaw literally dropped. Kenny Gradney (bass) and Ritchie Hayward (drums) own the groove. 'Let It Roll' is better than some Feat albums with Lowell:

Just for you:

R.I.P. Lowell and Ritchie.
