I hope Cardiff are happy that he is not Manger 8 in the Telegraphs list of "Bad" managers...you know the one who got players a payrise and then took half of it...

Yes, if you like. Could be fun. Or a simple 'winner chooses a charity for the loser to give a tenner'.
The thing is I don't think JFH will last the season and a decent manager will come in. How about at some point or any point in the season they have to be higher than us in the league (including goal difference) for me to win? For you to win we must stay higher than them? As you seem confident that NW won't turn it around.

I do think he'll turn it around, at least to the extent of saving them from relegation but I see the situation at Cardiff more like the one he struggled with at Leeds than when he did so well at Rotherham. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they had a decent run over the next four games (three at home and Forest away) and overtook us at some point but I'd have our squad and manager as a combination over theirs.

Strangely I felt the Fulham game makes you more likely right than I did before. Apart from Lynch not being used to playing LB there were good or better performances from all involved, yet still they had twenty something chances. It has to be partly at least down to the Manager that the CB's are not playing as a unit, and the 3 central midfield players all did well individually but were an over stetched thin string in the center of the park. Jimmy needs to sort that out quick.

We were awful in Warnock's last spell, we just didn't lose as often.
Funny how people see in differently. Personally I thought the football under Ramsey was dire and JFH is at least as bad in terms of entertainment and consistency. Warnock's spell was like an all too brief spell of fresh air with previously immobile players suddenly showing some attacking flair and when you add to that a points tally that we mostly only dream about I can't see why anyone wouldn't highly rate his performance.

I am not saying we won't finish higher than them. I am saying he will turn it around and at some point they will be higher than us. Agree with Oslo in that we seemed to have played better at Fulham but they could have scored 4-5 and our frailties were still on show.

NW may not be the best tactical, free flowing football manager around but his teams always give 100%. Yes a bit of a dinosaur for the modern game but he has proved time and time again that he can turn a teams fortunes around.

Rotherham were the worst team I saw last season and I remember saying at the time that they were dead certs to go down. He goes in and saves them. Same players just a different committed manager. In his short time with us after Benny, he turned around a losing deflated team.

I must be missing something.

Under Ramsey we were scoring for fun but crap defensively so had to score 3 or 4 times to win a game. Then came the infamous tweet from TF and we suddenly stopped scoring but didn't stop conceding, hence Ramsey was shown the door.

Under Warnock we adopted the 4-6-0 formation showing bugger all attacking flair eeking out two 1-0 wins, a 0-0 draw and a 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough, if my memory serves me correct.......so he kind off tightened up the defence but did bugger all for the attacking part of the game.

He did okay at Rotherham last season but walked out on them and Cardiff are desperate......

Maybe I'm in a minority but I can't recall his last stint with us with any fondness........

I remember it pretty much like that, but we stopped leaking goals and scoring as many as soon as Colin came in as Advisor. He carried that on really as Manager. The football we played before under Ramsey was hardly dull, but we needed to tighten up which Colin achieved. He didn't get time to do much more on that particular gig!

Can't believe how people are trashing the best manager we have had in last 10 years!

This. It was anti-football as horrible to look at as Colin's phoney **** eating grin.

I don't think anyone is trashing his first spell, or even his second spell really. It was four games which is far too short a period to judge on truly but people get carried away by a good points haul over such a short period. The win at Reading was his last game and memorable for a last minute winner but it was a dire match which really should have been another 0-0.

What he did at Rotherham last season was not just OK, it was f incredible. Just look at the results and table before and after. Same with us when we won the Championship and many other Clubs.

No one is trashing him

His first spell with us was amazing ..second not so, but he did a great job stabilising us.
He was sensational at Rotherham...I am sure Cardiff will not be relegated

But is he my manager of the future,,,definately no. He has had his time at QPR. I want a younger hungrier manager

...........................................................(and very quietly I say...I haven't entirely given up on JFH)
