Not sure who the commentators were but the most biased I have ever heard. To the point where they were knocking our kit because the numbers are not obvious. They also got their own players mixed up not to mention a few of ours. Anyway it's free and a good watch. Henry, Luongo and Hall looked excellent.

I also think our 1st goal will be given to BFG. Not sure 1st pen was saved either. Looked like it hit post.

If anyone wants to watch the full game from yesterday you can watch it on Fulham's offish. Whereas you can only watch it on QPR's by being a HD Player subscriber Fulham give it away for free. Here's the link ... http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2016/october/02/90-minutes-qpr

That's very generous of them - I guess their lot likely don't want to watch a match replay.

Watching the match (a bit stop/start, stream lagging, perhaps due to my 13 yr old Dell computer still running XP) just before supper here, my wife making pasties (under a fancier Spanish name) made from elk meat that apparently my brother-in-law "hunted".........obviously a rather biased Fulham commentary team.

That makes it funnier <laugh>

At the same time I'm catching up on the PVR of the Malaysian F1 GP, just ate a cheese & branston sandwich as an entree, drinking a very good Spanish red that was recommended for Sangria, that my wife prepared for a recent get-together with our Chinese neighbours.

Actually I was rather getting ahead of myself with the supper plans here, the Spanish pasty like creations (elk mix currently being prepared) are for tomorrow, so actually eating pan fried fish (Basa I believe), served with a nice salad that includes lettuce, walnuts, apple, onions and Canadian goat cheese with a tasty dressing - of course not wanting to be found out in a Bond like "From Russia with Love" train scenario, I felt obliged to switch from the Spanish red wine to left-over white (cooking wine for my wife) South African Two Oceans Chardonnay.

With the severe stream lag, I'm still only at 17' so still waiting for Washington's 20' goal!

Supper was good though (no formal family sit down dinner tonight), multi-tasking with F1 in my office.

This. They were so biased (even if they are ardent foolham supporters), that i havent heard for ages. The first half which was more even battle that i thought they were sayin to boreness, that they have been much, much better side and our lucky goal was fluke and they were so unbeliveable unlucky. Maybe it was a lucky goal but they use the word fluke at least twenty times! They were shouting and shouting about their bad luck about their chances and penalty kicks. In my opinion they were clumsy not unlucky. Anyway thanks to fulham because the match was enjoyable to watch and not least because the commentators...

They were so awful that it made for funny listening, especially at the end when they got a penalty. He said 'I'm not sure if that was a penalty, it was six of one and half a dozen of the other, who cares we deserved it.'
It was a thing of beauty when they missed it. Our in house commentary teams never act in such a biased fashion. Yes they go crazy when we score but if we lose they're not so disrespectful towards the opposition.

Completely agree, very biased, but funny at times - seem to recall "daylight robbery" being mentioned late in the game, plus their 2nd penalty decision comments - so glad they missed it. Were they piggy backing this commentary on a featured stream (didn't think there was one) , or was that a FFC stream?

Hunted elk meat? Are you allowed to take guns into Waitrose?

Just watched that, many thanks Nines. It is a big big improvement on highlights. Often, as this game you get a distorted view when you only see the main goal chances. We weren't as open in the middle of the park as I thought from 4 minutes only, and our weakness at LB where most of Fulham's best attacks came from, was very apparent. It looked like Hall played there a bit too, with Lynch moving inside, and though Caulker played very well his eagerness to get forward caused us (and Hall in particular) problems at the back. I hope Perch is fit and able to do a better job at LB by the Reading game. There were many good or very good performances out there, and it looked like all gave 100, but still worrying that Fulham had so many chances to win that game, even without their penalties. Looked to me like we should have a penalty for a body check on Shodipo., and the one Fulham got at the death never was.

That's a good summary Ossie and hard to disagree with any of that. I agree that for the people that weren't there had an interpretation from whatever sources that it was worse than it was. We had many good moments in the game and their goalie Button had to work harder than Smithies. They had a lot of shots and headers but only had a handful on target. We had some failings in the midfield and defence in the first half but as the away team and given our recent history at the cottage I thought we did well.

If I had to sum up the game in one sentence it would be this, and it could apply to both sides ...

A Tale of two teams, It was the best of games, it was the worst of games, it was the game of bravery, it was the game of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the potential winter of despair.

The opening line to a Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens (edited.)
