As for Fonte...pretty sure those rumours are a case of, "Fonte still hasn't signed + Man Utd were apparently interested in the summer = Fonte transfer could be back on". Funnily enough, with VVD being the absolute rock that he has been so far, and Jose's sketchy performances I'm not as concerned if/when he does move onto pastures new.

He had a little golden period a couple of seasons back where he came in for the injured Belgian bloke, who went off the pitch at OT after 20 mins. Florin came in and promptly played the next couple of games and was brilliant. He also played in the League Cup match away to Arsenal, when we beat them, and was excellent too. I rate him highly and I want to see him back in contention. To have 4 CBs, plus Jack Stephens of course, the club is very rich in key central defenders.

Article about Ralph and how well he is doing at the Ice Hockey World Cup. The Europe team are playing Canada in the 2nd game of the final tonight...having lost the first (winner is best of three). Our Ralph hasn't changed...it is mentioned in the article that if you ask about the weather, you will get a lesson in meteorology and that when asked if the tournament was a success, his reply lasted 2 mins 49 sec. <laugh>

Whoooops, forgot to add words before I posted the photo of a former Saint, Any idea's who it is? He's a 62 year old scouser who I had the great pleasure of having a few pints with last night.
Great guy how tells some wonderful stories.

Inevitably I got distracted and just watched more players highlight reels - god I hate trance music. Stumbled upon one guy called Robert Beric, a striker for St Etienne. Looks pretty decent and gets into the type of positions we're craving for.

I'm pretty much adopting youtube as my own black box.

Express saying that Mourinho still after Fonte....must be true as they cite The Sun as proof. Saying that he will have to ditch a player first. Has this story ever had legs beyond the pages of newspapers? We love and respect Fonte, but are also beginning to see that he isn't quite what he was...notably because he will be found out more now the refs are cracking down on sneaky little tugs. Did we refuse offers and hold on to him or did no offers materialise beyond vague enquiries? Would we let him go...as Puel uses him, but doesn't see him as first on the team sheet.
