Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Mamadou Sakho and Christian Pulisic
Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho may have played his last minutes for the Reds following his outburst on social media, while Christian Pulisic has said he's only focused on Borussia Dortmund right now amid rumours Liverpool are tracking him.

Dugarry and Petit thought the defender made a big mistake, with the former suggesting he should be talking to manager Jurgen Klopp about his grievances, not his fans, per SFR Sport (h/t Liverpool Echo's Ian Doyle).
It was Petit who said his compatriot may have just booked a one-way ticket out of Anfield, however:
I don’t get the impression Klopp is someone inflexible, that his door is closed.
On the contrary, I get the impression he’s very close to his players. He showed that last year with his management, with his coaching.
It’s a shame. I think it’s another outburst from him (Sakho), and it could be fatal.
Per Doyle, Sakho has mostly made the headlines for all the wrong reasons of late. He was suspended for failing a drugs test in April and put on a plane back to the United Kingdom during the team's summer tour for breaching club policy.
The 26-year-old hasn't seen the pitch since, which would explain why he's so upset. But like Duggary and Petit, who both played for France when they won the 1998 FIFA World Cup, most pundits agreed his Snapchat post was a major mistake.

Sakho has been a valuable defender for Liverpool since joining the club in 2013, but incidents off the pitch continue to haunt him.

Back in 2014, he made headlines for leaving the stadium after he wasn't picked for the Merseyside derby against Everton, per Aaron Flanagan of the Mirror. Fans were―understandably―furious, and the defender later apologised.
Klopp has already addressed this latest incident, telling reporters he'll make a decision on Sakho in the future,
Elsewhere, Dortmund star Pulisic has said his mind is on the season at hand and not transfer speculation, per The Set Pieces (h/t Liverpool Echo's Joe Rimmer): “I’m absolutely focused on the season, performing well and winning games with our team.”

According to Sports Illustrated (h/t Daily Star's Rhys Turrell), the youngster was a target for the Reds during the summer, but he opted to stay with BVB. He's since decided to stall on signing a new deal to see what kind of role he'll play for the Bundesliga club, however.

We've not seen anything come out for our opening yet so that will be fun... I hope we have some nice plan cos its a lot of revenue and commercial activity to over view..
That's Hamburg.... so I've heard.
LBH, Ayre was piss poor in the contract and player dealings and frankly its bizarre he was given that job. Better at the commercial side of things and that's where he should have stayed.

Rather disappointing comments from Henry - suggests that fans are to blame if expansion doesn't go ahead.
Just early ground work imo. Setting the seed prior to development, they can then refer to this moment when they end up putting ticket prices up later.
As if tickets are not expensive enough, he would like to put the price up, to pay for the stand your sitting in.

TBF expansion is only worth doing if you can fill the seats, if the supporters complain about the cost then that is unlikely to happen.
Would you rather have a well run business/club or one that is paying a fortune to provide empty seats.
I am pretty sure the seats would be filled but at the moment would wait a season with the current capacity before spending more.
I'm happy with the way FSG have run the club so far since their takeover, but I do think that if this is true, then they're out of touch with the public.
Ticket prices are already extortionate in this country, and blaming a slow-down in the expansion of the stadium on an already hard-pressed fan-base is just wrong, imo.
The investment should come from them, and as stated above, the increased revenue would ultimately pay for it.
I think all clubs could do with a reality check here, because eventually it'll only be the prawn- sandwichers who will be able to afford to go to a game, and the rest will be watching it on streams.

Unfortunately clubs are now more business based than we would like. My club have made several additions to our ground, but it took many years between each project to achieve it. City have just extended one stand, they have plenty of room around the ground to do more but have not yet thought about more expansion.
New stands cost millions and have to be seen to be paying, that is why clubs/businesses wait a few years in between before investing more money.
I would love to go to OT and pay £5 entrance fee like I could when I was young, after all, match day receipts are a very small part of a clubs income these days and the supporter should come first. Unfortunately a business has to explain to it's board why a multi million pound expenditure is worth it so the prices and attendances have to prove this (at least in projections).
