With two or three games every week, I worry that sfcfan could become burnt out before Christmas. We probably need some form of squad rotation here, with other match thread creators in full training, so that sfcfan stays fresh. Maybe thereisonlyoneno7 could be used after 20 clean sheets, if only to allow the Not606 crowd the opportunity to give sfcfan a standing ovation as he heads towards the subs bench, to prepare the next (always winning) thread.:1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down:

Or maybe Tadic for Hesketh actually as it mihgt not be ideal throwing him in at an away game vs Israel's finest. Probably save him to start in home games in the Europa. Although Forster has not had a save to make all season :) so it's me being kind to McCarthy.

I'm not really bothered about the distance for this one (Israel is roughly 4 hours flight time), more worried about the weather. Be'er Sheva play in the South close to the Negev desert (can recommend a tour if anyone is going) and even now temperatures will be quite warm.

When we get the ball we will need to keep possession otherwise I can see them trying to tire us out. I think this might be quite a draining match if we have to chase.

Sorry FLT, I'm a fleeting glory-hunting plastic fan of these recent not606 successes, not appreciating the dark days of League One not606 threads, when the only replies were from one man and his (keyboard literate) dog.
Of course, true not606'ers will always appreciate the quick-fire witty repartee of FLT, his ability to sum up a match in one pithy phrase, and his unwavering ability to be positive in the face of overwhelming odds (That, my friends, is how to win away) :emoticon-0100-smile

That should open the flood gates for nostalgic reminiscences of the good'ol days, when emojis were just mis-spellings, and you HAD TO USE CAPITALS to get your point across. 'Branfoot Out!', or am I now being prehistoric?

This. Don't think this is the game to throw Hesketh in with hostile crowd etc.

I've no idea on the type of crowds you get at Israeli matches or the pitch quality, but you probably need a decent amount of experience for this game. Hopefully he can join from the bench as we will have to protect Tadic physically.

Agreed that we need to protect Tadic. Make no mistake about it though, a win here would be absolutely massive. I'd certainly take a win here over Leicester.

Regarding the atmosphere, check youtube out for their game against Celtic.

In fact, I think they've only lost 1/2 games there in total, though admittedly it's quite a new stadium. Not 100% sure of facts though.

Will be a completely different atmosphere to what many of our players have experienced before. For me Tadic is the only one who (at national level) will regularly experience something similar....so he has to play

McCarthy
Martina Yoshida VVD Targett
Reed
JWP Clasie
Tadic
Long Redmond

Subs: Forster, Fonte, Cedric, Bertrand, Romeu, Hojbjerg, Austin

Not strong enough for me.

I'd have Forster & Romeu in. Plus at least 1 of Pierre & Davis (not in your 18?)

Reed & JWP in midfield won't end well in this sort of game imo.

In fact, I'd certainly start Davis, another one who would have played in a similar sort of atmosphere.
