Think it will be an interesting few weeks at United - it'a club in hiatus and Jose is facing some difficult decisions ... the biggest is what does he do with Wayne Rooney - he has publicly stated that he is not a midfielder ... so does he really merit a starting place over Ibra, Martial and Rashford? ...

IMHO ... no ... and I think trying to accommodate him at all costs is hindering the evolution of the 'next United' (as it is also doing with the England team) ...

Wouldn't totally surprise me if a very lucrative 'surprise', bumper pay deal move to China or the US happens in January ...

... ironically this might also give Allardyce a 'Get Out Of jail' for England too ...

... Wayne has been a terrific Premiership footballer if, perhaps, falling just a bit short on the International stage (he's not alone in that) - time to move on - an better if it's at his own volition I feel ... just my opinion.

There's no doubt Jose is a top draw manager but coming in and throwing old furniture into the skip would have caused an outrage. Jose is between a rock and a hard place at present. He has many exciting young players at his command but in the past has favoured the older more established players.

If they're to evolve the likes of Rooney, Fellaini, Carrick have to be shown the door. Jose will always have his detractors but he is always ultimately successful. Just ask any spud!

I think the fans would have been quite happy if he came in and dropped Rooney and Fellani.

Although there was never at any point a first team under van Gaal it's really not like Fellaini was there to be dropped. What Mourinho has done is elevate him to a certain starter and doesn't seem too keen on going back on this ludicrous decision.
I would say that the majority of us expected him to be sold and instead he shoves him in the team.

I understand the Rooney conundrum more, he was/is captain, one of his potential replacements in Mata Mourinho allegedly 'doesn't fancy' and the other we've only just bought and is injured so will take a bit of time to settle. What I don't accept on Rooney though is to start playing him in midfield when he publicly stated he wouldn't and has five other options, not even including Fellaini, who could play there instead. (one of whom has been bizarrely and needlessly ostracised and another seemingly vapourised)

If Rooney is to play then he plays at 10 and stays there. If he can't do that then get him out of the side.

Fellaini should be nowhere near a United shirt though. It's an affront.

It's too early yet but he may well have lost the plot and is still the manager he was in his last season at Chelsea other than the manager he was in his previous stint.

I'm quite surprised as I thought he'd do well.

Heart breaking this thread<laugh>..... Roman's agent doing the business<laugh><laugh><laugh>
<laugh> but nah..

Jose is Jose. He wanted to win with Torres when he was back with us. He gifted the league to Manny that season.
Looks like he is trying to do the same with Fellaini. But I am sure he will not be interested in gifting this time to Pep.

Rooney won't be this bad if Fellaini isn't playing there.
Still Jose's title mind. Just a matter of time before he comes out of his small blip. wish it continues longer - but don't see it.

next 3 out of 4 fixtures are incredible for Manu - Leicester, Stoke, Chelsea & Pool.

Up the Foxes this Saturday <ok>

Sorry Rooney is horrendous. He's been **** for the past 3 seasons and all his pen goals in the past won't make up for his now terrible touch, bad shooting and overweight running

At the moment, it's right up the foxes! <laugh>

I don't think United should put too much store by today's score. Leicester were always going to be complete pants this season (see my prediction that I made even before last season ended). Last season was a fluke, as this season's debacle is ample proof already.

You can always tell United are back and ppl are worried because they always blame the opposition for our victories <laugh>

No Rooney, no Fellaini and normal service resumed. Mata & Pogba run the show. Still 3 other players to come in. I can understand the [HASHTAG]#fear[/HASHTAG] on here.
