Think it will be an interesting few weeks at United - it'a club in hiatus and Jose is facing some difficult decisions ... the biggest is what does he do with Wayne Rooney - he has publicly stated that he is not a midfielder ... so does he really merit a starting place over Ibra, Martial and Rashford? ... IMHO ... no ... and I think trying to accommodate him at all costs is hindering the evolution of the 'next United' (as it is also doing with the England team) ... Wouldn't totally surprise me if a very lucrative 'surprise', bumper pay deal move to China or the US happens in January ... ... ironically this might also give Allardyce a 'Get Out Of jail' for England too ... ... Wayne has been a terrific Premiership footballer if, perhaps, falling just a bit short on the International stage (he's not alone in that) - time to move on - an better if it's at his own volition I feel ... just my opinion.
The Smug One has got to work out what he wants most - to save his own United career, or preserve that of Rooney.
