Great performance from the ref today. He clearly got our disallowed goal wrong but after that I thought he did a great job of breaking up the Swansea attacks. One of his interceptions was Morganesque:1980_boogie_down:

In fairness it was the lino that got that wrong, and it was easy enough to see how.

Speaking of refs, where's Tom got to?

A good and needed win + a rare clean sheet. Only down side was lack of goals from Long & Redmond who had some very good chances to score but fluffed their lines again. Feeling better now that Saints are moving on up though.

I think because of this being only 1-0, and us badly needing the three points, a lot of the nerves that people were feeling have given them a rather negative slant on the game.

Personally I think we were very, very good today, and the diamond worked well. I don't know what Puel fed them this morning but it was probably a box of weetabix each with red bull instead of milk. Every player played well in my opinion. Yes, a few donkey moments, but that's it. Our passing was simply sublime to be honest. Total control of the game for 90 minutes. Swansea had a few half chances but they are a decent attacking team when they want to be.

That has left me feeling very positive. Puel has been top notch this week, Excellent team selections and substitutes. Well done that man.

Anyone would think that people should have been patient and given him some time, eh? <whistle>

One of my guys is an A**enal supporter. He says the conversations we're having about Redmond sound very much like the ones they had about Thierry Henry before he learned to score.

On Solent, Puel said something like "Nathan's putting those all away on the training ground".

I suspect he's just trying too hard and that if he can learn to relax he'll be dangerous.
