So that when the vehicles supplied to their friends and allies end up in the hands of the opposition ( one way or another ) they can't be used against the good guys. Watch some news to see isis fighters driving around in american vehicles. They could also fit them with tracking devices so if and when they lose them to the opposition they can send in a drone to take it out of action, if they really wanted too.
