HARBA is entered for a maiden at Yarmouth next Tuesday. SEVEN HEAVENS has been taken out of the Middle Park and FAIR EVA, HARBA and YARAKI have been taken out of the Cheveley Park.
SENATOR and MAJORIS take each other on in the Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes at Doncaster this afternoon. This is the same race that Frankel won in 2010 by 13 lengths when it was still a Conditions Race.
Disappointing runs from SENATOR, MAJORIS and KHATTAR. Entries for this week are as follows: Wednesday - ATTY PERSSE (Maiden) and ZEFFERINO (Conditions Race) declared for Sandown Thursday - ATTY PERSSE and MONARCHS GLEN hold entries in a Maiden Friday - ATTY PERSSE holds an entry in a Conditions Race at Newbury Saturday - ALFAWARIS, SWISS STORM and ZEFFERINO all entered in the same Maiden at Newbury
A long way off for now, but the Irish Guineas entries have been released. Frankel offspring with entries are as follows: Irish 2,000 Guineas DREAM CASTLE FRANKUUS SEVEN HEAVENS SOLO SAXOPHONE SWISS STORM Irish 1,000 Guineas ALJEZEERA FAIR EVA HARBA LA FIGLIA
Also, not sure how I missed these when I did the big end-of-season race entries, the Racing Post Trophy Frankel entries are: ATTY PERSE EMINENT FRANKUUS LAST KINGDOM SAN REMO SWISS STORM ZEFFERINO
I was wondering where the name "Atty Persse" came from so googled him and, lo and behold, he was racehorse trainer in the early 20th century whose most famous horse was probably The Tetrarch, in whose honour the big Irish 2000 GNS trial is run at the Curragh each spring.
In Brough Scott's book it contrasts the arrival of The Tetrarch at Atty Persse's with the arrival of Frankel. Apparently after his first gallop they knew he was a super horse and all the stable lads were sworn to secrecy. They got 5-1 for The Tetrach's first run and he was an absolute certainty. He was never beaten but did not run as a 3yo.

Atty Persse looks a very promising individual indeed. Settled really well, quickened nicely and relished the climb to the finish. Might be a Derby horse one day, certainly looks well balanced at this early stage.
Roger Charlton confirmed after the race that his immediate target is the Racing Post Trophy, but he certainly seems to think a bit of him. MONARCH'S GLEN has been taken out of his engagement tomorrow. SAN REMO has been given an entry at Gowran Park on Sunday RAINBOW LEGACY has an entry at Leicester on Monday
From today's Newmarket Gallops report in RP: SWISS STORM The Frankel colt found 6f woefully short on his debut at Haydock last month, when he was noted making late headway to snatch 7th after finding the pace too hot from the outset. The strapping specimen looked to have moved forward from that when breezing on the Cambridge Road Polytrack and is booked for a recovery mission over 7f at Newbury on Saturday. RAINBOW LEGACY Stoute is almost ready to fire the first of his Frankels at Leicester on Monday and this Ballymacoll-bred colt looked ready to roll when pleasing under Ted Durcan on the Al Bahathri. The juvenile already shows more toe than his half-brother Christmas Hamper, who won a handicap for Stoute off a mark of 59 last year.
