Never ever get a cheap brandy pal, life's too short cheap alcohol ! I can strongly recommend Remy Martin, yes it's pricey but you'll recognise the difference and savour the taste. On a lighter note, I'm just off to buy the ingredients for Sangria that my wife is preparing for a BBQ get-together at our Chinese neighbours on Thursday evening (they really liked it last time and asked for it again) - may just have to do some serious taste testing later to perfect the recipe.

The 5 Best Wines for Summer Sangria
Here are five specific wines that fit those guidelines.
1. Garnacha - Garnacha (grenache grown in Spain) generally has lower tannins, showcases rich red fruits, and has great acidity. These characteristics make garnacha my personal go-to for making stellar red sangria.
- Good pick: Bodegas Borsao from Tres Picos - Grape: Garnacha. Region: Spain. Year: 2012. Average price: $15
This is the Spanish red wine I'm buying, available at the local, government run, liquor store + cheap brandy

It could be that Hasselbaink bloke,95% of the games I've seen him at we've been poor !I think i'm a jinx every game I been to we have been poor. going back to NZ next week so here's hoping.
No he stashed it away for a happier day and rightly so.What was the reaction at the final whistle (for those still there)? Did Tooting crack open and share his prize winnings - drowning the sorrows?
It's extremely hard to analyse and try to give feedback on a game of football when we were that bad. You could tell from around the 10th minute it would be 6 or 7.
I can handle other teams being better than us technically, especially Newcastle, who have some very good players for this league. What's very hard to forgive is the sheer lack of effort and running from some of our players and the fact that they gave up from when the first goal went in. Competely unforgivable.
I don't even think the two centre halves and smithies played that badly. They weren't helped by two completely inept performances by our full backs who simply weren't in the game. Again, I look to our skipper for some encouragement when losing the game. Nothing. Not a squeak.
Cousins and Henry were absolute toilet, I'm not sure between them two and chery who was meant to be marking shelvey, but it became embarrassing that a player who's extremely good for his league was left with that much space. It's not hard to mark and stay with someone. Shelvey, whilst being good, has the movement of shelvey, not Suarez. At times he was standing still in acres.
Wingers were non existant and I won't even begin to talk about Washington, whilst not helped by jfh's tactics here, he must realise he had to get on the ball and make it stick. Sylla went up for a few headers in the second half and he was nowhere to be seen. Just didn't want it. I think a few of us have seen enough of him now to see its 2.5million wasted. He clearly needs to play in a two and I'm unsure of his ability at this level to even play in that.
What's even more embarrassing is how reliant and vital polter is to how we play. We look clueless without him to hold it up. Here's hoping he's not injured for long or we really could struggle.
Did he get injured?Even Mackie's given up on the twitter feed......
Agree with you on Sylla/Washington.Angry ramblings:
- Managers have been sacked for performances a lot less horrific than tonight's debacle. Even a simpleton would at least have ordered Shelby to be man-marked for the 2nd half.
- Onouha really must be left out and stripped of the captaincy.
- Washington's chance has been and gone. I doubt he had more than a handful of touches the entire game. Cylla did much more in 10 minutes.
- I always like to give Karl Henry the benefit of the doubt but tonight there was no doubt - slow, negative as always and took no responsibility for the marauding Shelby.
- It's not just the record home defeat - Newcastle looked unstoppable at times and will turn over many more poor sides this season - but the manner in which we capitulated without even an attempt to change tactics until it was 4-0.
