  2. Indeed, Sky. You got rid of most of your team. Only the manager left.

  6. What about if we finish above you again, Bodi?

    Would you find that equally funny?

    You have to ask yourself the question: what's more likely to happen, LCFC finish above Spurs or Spurs finish above Chelsea?

    You see my point, mate.

    Sometimes it's best not to scoff until the coast is clear. Please, for the love of god, don't fall into the trap of a certain wum-mod whose scoffing has rendered him a laughingstock on more than several occasions!

    <laugh> ... yes the OP was spot on ... the first element was that Chelsea were interested in Mahrez with the intimation that his going would herald the complete dismantling of our team - in marked contrast we have lost one very good player to one of the European heavy weights .... selling a player that cost us £6.5m for £30m .... disappointing yes ... but the rest have stayed to a man and have signed long term contracts ....

    The second element, which impressively predicted that we might finish in the top four (given that we were top of the pile in January <doh>), but less impressively had no mention of a possibility of actually winning the title (I wonder why <laugh>) was laughably short of the ultimate, awesome, achievement - the unthinkable for certain teams ... winning the EPL title of course.

    ... the chances of this being thread of the year are way south of the likelihood of the Opening Poster yet again having a 'special' thread dedicated to his complete and utter humiliation at his predictions coming back to make him look like a complete fanny fart <again> ... his only consolation will be that there is no bet riding on any of it to further embarrass him ...

    He did get one thing right ... that we are indeed unlikely to reach the same heights as last season ... retaining the EPL title is, after all, notoriously difficult .... but you have to win it first of course to be in the position to fail at that ...<laugh>

    In the spirit of prediction I am happy to make one ... here it is ... this season's EPL title winners will already have won the EPL title before <ok> <laugh>

  19. So that I am not grotesquely misquoted, I thought it best to set out the post in which I set out my stall for this thread.
    <ok>

    Let the voting for "Best Thread of the Season" commence, lads.

    No. I don't want any thanks, just votes. Cheers.
