The first series is good, the first half of the second series is too then everything after that is crap pretty much.
There's not much in the way of good quality horror tv series' is there, I guess the genre doesn't lend itself well to a weekly format.
No not really, sharp bursts work best. I watched Conjuring 2 the other week after a heavy few days in Amsterdam and it was ****ing grim. In a good way like. Ha.
I've just finished the 2nd season of Zoo, I think it's great, my son think it's crap, so maybe not for everyone. Mr Robot is another im watching as they are released, absolutely brilliant but totally bonkers, well worth a watch. Wayward pines, true detective and the old twin peaks (in anticipation for the new one) are next on the list, but have earmarked narco to watch soon. Couldn't get into billions, only watched 2 episodes so might go back to it eventually. All through exodus on my android box, I'm even watching the NFL on sky sports 2 on it now (sportsdevil, not exodus).
I watched the first Zoo, I think the best thing I could say about it is that it could be one of them that's so bad it's good haha. Almost finished Mr Robot series one, I was already liking it but when it started channeling American Psycho I got bang into it. Very interesting and unique show.
American psycho is the most intense thing I have read, read it before watching the movie. And the movie paled big time compared to the book, but then if they had shown stuff from in the book, it would have been banned. It's the only book I have had to put down for a few weeks and come back later, wasn't so much scary, just a psychological **** up in my head lol.
I have a habit of listening to audiobooks on my phone when I'm cleaning up or in the shower etc and I tried American Psycho but I found that if I phased out briefly when I phased back in I'd lost the thread of what was going on. I think it'll be one to sit down and read properly. I was a big fan of the film but I can well imagine the book is better as it's almost always the case.
Tried Sons Of Anarchy, got the first 3 episodes watched and it was ok at best, but haven't bothered since, anybody know whether it's worth persevering with or is that the sort of level it's at all the time?
Yeah, he was doing my head in a bit, that's part of the reason I can't watch it. I might give this Narcos a try then.
I only saw the first one and thought much the same, I was all set with my whiskey at hand to watch some high quality man television but I found it a bit annoying. I'm not into biker culture to be fair all seems a bit daft to me.
Yeah that could be good. Bates Motel is a really well done series which seems underrated, they managed to take the one interesting character of Norman Bates from the film/book and turn it into a series full of great characters and storylines. Great acting in that show. It's not quite a top tier show like Breaking Bad etc but it's not far off.
