A twitterer asking why is there a planned anti-Delia protest.
I replied that it's mainly her flat refusal to discuss any potential takeover of the club with somebody who might take us to the next level, where we (some of us, anyway) want to be.
The reply:
"You mean she doesn't want to sell the club to someone who'll
change its name, sell the ground & make us play in blue & white?"

Talk about knee-jerk and shallow reaction. For every Cellino / Tan / Allam there are Mansours and Srivaddhanaprabhas (LCFC), etc. Why does everyone assume the worst the whole time - where's the 'glass half full' brigade in all of this??

Can I just say that I really don't like insinuations that I am less of a fan because I live 262 miles away from Norwich and can't afford to attend more matches, also I have to say something quite worrying (for me) happened when I attended the Sunderland game in April, something which means I won't be attending any more matches, but I still love all things NCFC and that will NEVER change!

That is all!

Footballs back this weekend!

All this "measuring how far away our penises are away from the stadium" Should be saved for international weekend when there is naff all to talk about!

:emoticon-0136-giggl:emoticon-0110-tongu

Where you live now has no effect on your love for a club. It's silly.

Well Cromer, KIO and others who would like Delia and co to sell out to the highest bidder - you're entitled to your opinion and I am mostly a 'glass half full' person, but not on this occasion. IMO, if AN had 'tinkered' less last season and we hadn't suffered with the injury to Klose, I'm fairly confident we would have stayed up last season and so we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

A very valid article by Chris Lakey (Archant's senior sports writer) - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/ridicu...gment_of_a_little_boy_s_imagination_1_4691543.
I'm sure there are equally valid articles by those on the opposite side of the argument!!!

Fair column by Lakey and I have already stated that any protests, boos etc are - not just 'can be' counter-productive.
I'm sat in the middle on this issue, though.
Do we want to be pedestrian plodders, 'little' family club Norwich or is there actually any genuine aims of growth and sustained development anywhere in that boardroom. The evidence so far all suggests not :(
I have no wish to see us start blowing £30m on a single player, that would be catastrophic, but to spend the rest of my life watching the club just survive, eke out a balance sheet every year and tread water is the other dull-as-ditchwater side of the coin <ok>
And I'm still flabbergasted, bewildered and foomun' Neyul that we bid big bucks for McCormack, failed and then decide we had to sell somebody to strengthen late in the window - none of which materialised, of course.
Where was the McCormack money two weeks after he went to Villa after we pulled out of a two horse race for him? <grr>

BRILLIANT post Cromer and I can't argue with any of your reasoning, but at the same time, it looks very much as though we'll be exactly as your as your 2nd sentence suggests for some considerable time.
Our players are capable of playing entertaining football, but as fans, we don't see enough of it due to AN's dire team selection (especially Whittaker and Naismith) and his 'must not lose' tactics, so until he reverts to his pre season 'attack, attack, attack' philosophy, then I'm afraid that's what we'll see each week.
Take the shackles off AN and entertain the fans - PLEASE!!!!

PS - Can anyone explain what happened to our parachute payments, or was that spent paying useless scouts all over Europe who came up with NOTHING in our search for a striker????

Is there going to be an in game protest against Delia at the Game?! Or is this just an outside protest before or after the game??

We are going to shoot ourselves in the foot with a toxic atmosphere today if we're not careful.

Also, the amount of times She saved us from going under. So disrespectful. Really hope this is isn't going to be as bad as it's sounding...

It seems like a protest against the board before kick off by a handful of fans - [HASHTAG]#ridiculous[/HASHTAG]

I'd like to think there are more rational supporters among our fanbase than boo boys.
I expect KIO is clearing his throat and practicing his scales as I type ;)

Hmmmm.......Comparing this to the Chase protests when we were in a critical position financially and down around the Championship relegation zone.

Short memories.

Really don't think all this is a good sign and set up for today's game....:emoticon-0107-sweat

Anyway, on a positive note. Manchester Derby soon!! Looking forward to Jose Vs Pep. I think this game is going to be frantic and fiery!

I've got nothing against people who think what they do, but this annoys me so much because it will only poison the atmosphere at the game.

Like I said in the other thread, if we were millions of pounds in debt, heading towards league 1 or 2 with owners who don't care then maybe I could understand that.

Trying not to get my hopes up this will be a good game, hyped up games are normally quite dull.
