He gets a lot of stick on other team's boards, usually when playing for England... Can't work out if they're dumb or jealous.
Both, definitely both.

The Telegraph are reporting that he had to play on with a hamstring injury against Slovakia and could miss the next three weeks.
Time for us to start pretending our players are injured when internationals come up?

Have Sky given up on this?

My oh my how times have changed.
I see absolutely no reason to replace Davies at the moment.
He was getting all kinds of abuse from some loudmouth half a block away from me in the Burnley match. The most generous thing he shouted was "you're not fit to lick Danny Rose's boots". I've never understood what people get from that sort of behaviour.
I was thinking of Corluka before you said it! He was great. Like if Berbatov had decided to be a right back. It really does help to be very good at football if you're gonna be a football player. It's easy to forget that Davies is still only 24 and a good few years off his peak. Whilst I still rate Rose as the better overall player, I don't hesitate to say that Davies at this age is far better than Rose was 3 years ago.
The only glaring weakness in Davies' inventory is that he tends to get skinned by attackers with real pace. There isn't much to be done about this problem, although as he gets older and 'wiser', he'll learn how to deal with them more effectively. Charlie proved that you can move slower than a sloth with a groin rash and still be a cracking full back.
