You do realise trade is supposed to be a 2 way street don't you?

You do also realise we're lining up to lose the free trade part? <doh>

So you think these countries are going to turn round and say "we will still sell you the £420billion worth that you spend, but will stop buying the £270 billion that you sell" and we will turn round and say "OK buddy - our loss" ?
Do you also realise that the EU only makes up 10% of the world trade demand?

What is it you said about head in sand?

People still have their heads stuck firmly in the sand.

Please tell me what the upsides are going to be and when, because as it stands i can't see any.

The exchange rate is crippling the company i work for and there's no sign of it letting up any time soon. The longer it goes on (and it will go on) the more chance of us having redundancies, maybe even closing down, and this is a very very well run business.
No it ain't, RCDM, not if you have to rely on one market.

The EU doesn't make up 10% of our exports though does it unfortunately?

You do realise that when we're all suddenly getting charged import and export duties for goods in and out of the UK, we'll be a much worse proposition for buying goods from don't you? Obviously, the drop in the strength of the pound and the exchange rates will counter that, but strangely enough thats not a good thing for us. <ok>

Being the UK's sole distributor for a particular brand has massive advantages on one hand, as if customers want that brand then they have to come to us. However, unfortunately we can'tsell the brand outside the UK, as obviously there are other suppliers with sole distribution rights around Europe and the rest of the world.

And i can assure you, for a very small business its very well run.

The EU makes up 40% of our exports - it was 65% in 2002 so has been on the sharp decline in the last 15 years anyway.
Last year, exports of goods and services were worth about £229 billion, down from £242 billion in 2010.

Please pray tell, apart from this massive customer Australia (who are going to speak to the EU first about a deal, before us, same as the U.S), where else are we going to export again?

Apart from arms to the middle east obviously <ok>

The free trade deal with Australia is set to generate 250,000 jobs.
Japanese firms currently employ 120,000 people in the UK (only 18,000 in their head offices)

Top tip

Research before posting <ok><laugh>

So one new brit job will be create for every person that lives in Australia.
Stop it my sides are hurting!!"!!

There was always going to be a swings and roundabouts situation when leaving the EU, chances are there'll some sort of propaganda from both sides but, it's better to control oneself than be controlled by others.

Most of the other EU countries will be watching what happens to us in the future.

The roundabout has stopped going round and the swivel eyed loons cut he ropes on the swings.

You think only 250.000 people live in Australia?
****ng bollocks pressed send without reading..

One job created for every 120 people living in Aus.
The point remains the same you are spouting groundless bollix. No fecking way is it possible for Australia to provide enough work for 250,000 over here.

Not forgetting that to get our goods to market there they have to sail past/ fly over all those far eastern countries that manufacture things at a fraction of the cost than we can.
Of course the Australians are going to spend more than they need to. <doh>

There is no place for a Britain trying to turn the clock back to the 1950s in a worldwide economy. Think Farage thought he was in a John mills film where Britain always wins and everyone else just rolls over!

If you want far eastern crap Glory,go the pound shop, lucky for us most prefer quality over quantity.Wonder how we ever sell Bentleys when you can get a Chinese car for about 3% of the price.doh

That will be the same Bentley that are gradually moving production to Poland and Germany?
Who own them these days?
Do you even recognize the term globalization? <doh><doh><doh><doh>
