He is a Latvian national and therefore part of the EU. I think he would have had to register with the Home Office when first came to the UK, in order to essentially 'work' in the UK but does not require a work permit.

Not if we can get Gorkss for say 300k in a cash deal and sell Punch to another club for 1 mil. If, of course, the Gorkss deal isn't involving Punch
 
Spoke to a few qpr fans the other day, & I don't want to piss on anyone's parade but they said he's their best defender & its very unlikely he'll move.
Personally, I hope they are disappointed & he signs, be a very good capture for us.

If Warnock is willing to let him go and he's signed Danny Gabbidon then he may well move south. We can give him first team Football and at least equal his wages too.
 
I really hope this is true, just the sort of signing that we needed to complete the squad for the upcoming season. However, I don't think anyone has been right on a transfer in the last 2 years...... appart from RocketSwanie!!!!!!! So until I hear it from him and his contacts...... or the official site I refused to get too excited!
