And this comes to light just after the Jemal deal falls through, it all makes sense.
I reckon we had the Gorkss/Puncheon deal on hold just in case the Jemal deal fell through, which it has - clever negotiating by Cortese me thinks
Thats one possibility. But if its true we want to sign him then wouldn't we have just have continued with the part exchange deal as we definately dont want Puncheon? Cant see Puncheon turning down QPR unless he wants to turn out with the reserve and youth team for a year.

Spoke to a few qpr fans the other day, & I don't want to piss on anyone's parade but they said he's their best defender & its very unlikely he'll move.
Personally, I hope they are disappointed & he signs, be a very good capture for us.
