Norwich fans are clearly disappointed that we have got him on loan for this season. His goalscoring record is certainly very impressive...mostly in Belgium with Anderlecht and Standard Liege. Looks very physical and quick, good hold up man, and just the kind of striker we need. Alex Neil was very keen for him to return to Norwich.

Heres a few comments from the Norwich fans...

great signing for you hull fans wish he was at ncfc

dammit, was hoping we would get him again, solid strong, holds ball well.....dammit. And u got our snoddy!!

He's a super player. Good luck Dieumerci.

I think (hope) this guy will be the stand out acquisition of the window.

He is exactly what we have needed for years and should be an excellent foil for Abel, in playing two up front.

Whether 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or 3-5-2, we have options to tweak players and tactics to bring on fresh legs that are recognised running machines and that is a huge benefit in maintaining pressure to the whistle.

It will be really interesting to see the line-up against Burnley, as I would not be surprised to see two new outfielders start in midfield and attack.

We shouldn't underestimate Burnley though, as I think we will have to be exceptional to take a point from them.

Maybe, just maybe, we might have brought in the right players to mix it about and squeeze something out of the next three games, where I thought a big fat zero was probable. It would be excellent to be pleasantly surprised and proven wrong.

I was thinking that his name might be a problem, like Odubajo, should we get a new name for him on here? Mbokani could be Bob, or maybe Hanson, although could also be misspelled as Hansen, after MBop, although a catchy song, it was ****ing annoying! Now it's in my head, need to listen to some metal!<badger>:emoticon-0178-rock:

Agreed Canada, looks a good signing. Cant recollect much of him myself so will have to wait and see. I see Abel being pushed wide left in Dio's role and Mbok down the centre if Phelan persists with the present set up.
    Fingers crossed.

the way we've been against burnley in the pl (especially in our relegation season) a point would be like winning at wembley again. Even a shot would be worth celebrating :)

Certainly wets the appetite, Mbokani up top with Abel playing off his shoulder, could be just what we need, we have been crying out for a big lad up front who can hold the ball and relieve the pressure at times too.

Every time we've been relegated, it's been with Burnley!

Don't know about playing Abel on the wing. He isn't fantastic at taking a man on, his real strength is being in the right place at the right time and being a very good finisher.

As Hatem says, his first name means Thank God, so hopefully we will be calling him God, or Rambokani!

Don't understand how people struggle with names like that. Odubajo and Mbokani are almost said exactly how they're spelt, from a phonetics standpoint.

Odubajo should be no more difficult to say than Elmohamady for example. Similarly Mbokani should be no more difficult to say than McGregor.

Is it just 'banter', ie, a whoosh moment for me, or a genuine case of struggling to say their names a la Paul Merson?

I work with a lot of people from overseas and have always felt it would be disrespectful to say their name incorrectly.
