Well, not quite. Nothing like going in **** or bust on the a runner in the Derby or the Arc and seeing it cross the line in front. Not much beats that feeling and I pity anyone who will never know it.

But to experience it I would have to watch horse racing and I struggle to think of many things worse.

But if he isn't, being an efficient alcoholic sodomite sounds like it could pass the time.

Owing her 50 million is different to pumping hundreds of millions into the club each year

"Lol" is a much misused abbreviation but it certainly applied there. Perhaps even "Gol". Guffawed.

I hate losing money more than I like winning it...especially as losing it is easier.

I don't think you understood what I am getting at. Kat wants the club to be able to run without her pumping money in. She has in the past had to put money in ( has to be around £100m at least) as Cortese went a bit mad.

Unlike 99% of Prem teams who have a owner who will wipe out the clubs debt every few years. We will not have such debts, so won't need £100's of millions pumped in to wipe out the debt.

So, in effect we are hundreds of millions poorer than the rest of the league. Look, I get that we're all terrified pf going bust again. It's like a disaster survivors group in here a lot of the time. However, paying the debts back to KL had better be done soon so we can spend all the money which is coming in. There is enough money that we could be expanding the ground, buying in lots of talented youngsters for the youth team or, I don't know, spending all our sales money on quality players - like Stanciu - but at the moment we're not doing any of that because our benificent leader (according to what you are saying) wants her money back.

Our sales money was used on player wages.

Okay, so where did our TV money go? Personally, I do not believe we had to take wages out of player sales. If we did, we are being run incredibly poorly on the financial front and must be about to go bust...

TV money is not paid in one big lump sum at the beginning of the season. Player sales very much go towards new contract offers and new players contracts coming in. No we aren't close to going bust.

But we don't factor in moneys owed when planning for the future? That's very short-sighted. We made £86million from TV and league placing last year before match day, sponsorship, or anything else. You'd think that would cover wages and club running costs. If it doesn't, and we can't afford wages without sales, then I would suggest we aren't exactly the beacon of a well-run club we thought!

Perhaps we did spend all we could. I understand it gives people a sense of moral superiority that our club is run within its means, but the fact is that paying back debts is not really empowering for the club.

You think it's only at Saints where you hear these complaints from the fans? It's not. At their two home games this season, arsenal fans have been singing "Spend some ****ing money". It'll be interesting to see how their new signings work out. And ours.

Most football fans, of all clubs, are happy to spend their club's money. Not sure it would ever be a good idea to put the fans in charge though.

Paying back debts can only be a good thing, it shouldn't take long though with the income the club recieves.

The accounts are due in a month or so anyway and will show roughly where we are in that regard.

The very lovely Mrs Godders :emoticon-0115-inlov and I decided we would converse entirely in French at supper this evening. She fell asleep half way through her meal which has now gone cold and I will wake her up to clear the table, wash the dishes and make my Horlicks shortly. In the meantime I have changed my view on our manager. It is bloody hard to put intonation and inflection into your voice when you are busy thinking and translating at the same time. He's still bloody boring to listen to though but I can now forgive him for that.
