Whatever people thought of him as our manager it's a measure of his "I'll do what I want" ego that he has (allegedley) illegally tapped up our club captain and threatened to destabalise a team finding its form and looking to make a promotion push.

I can understand why he would want Ashbee as a leader for the same reasons that we do/did but the sequence of events have a hint of malice. Brown has a meal with Ashbee after Bullards loan, Ashbee informs Pearson he has had a contract offer and walks out of training the day before a massive game, Ashbee comes back with a written transfer request in the afternoon.

There may be more than I know but Brown is out of order and means we will miss possibly our most influential player for the QPR game (and I think it showed first half) and even more in the Leeds game with no time to find a replacement.

He knows he shoukd have made a formal approach to us first and judging by the statements in this weeks paper about Ashbee, the first anyone knew about it was on Friday morning.

I hope the club does not accept the transfer request and tell Ashbee and Brown to get ****ed and that they report Brown and Preston for an illegal approach as he obviously doesnt think rules apply to him as usual. Whether peope rate Ash or not he was obviously part of the plans until at least the end of the season and the timing smacks of bitterness.

I really wanted to just remember the good times from Browns era and wish him all the best but this kind of behaviour just reminds me of some of the childish, spolit, vindictive behaviour that alienated a lot of players and the super ego that thought he was special and rules didnt apply to him.

I feel sorry for Asbee who belives his bullshit and is on the verge of tarnishing a legacy that would have him set up fo life here for the sake of Browns playground games.

Bit confusing as NP quoted as saying that Transfer request came in on Saturday yet the Preston word has been around for a week or so. I got it from a very good source at that time. As said confusing. Word was Ash was not that keen yet we have the Transfer request.

At the end of the day Brown(DR Jekyll and MR Hyde) is no longer our manager. Ashbee however is forgiven in my eyes. Given everything for Hull City in his day. No hard feelings and always welcome back.

I thought the rules allowed clubs to talk to Ash because of the time left on his contract?

Likewise, guess it's a tad different due to the fact they are looking at getting him in now.

Who gives a ****, If he wants to go let him, The lads done us proud for many years and he's ready for a new challenge. It just goes to show though Brown snaps his fingers and ASh goes running - So much for players not wanting to play for him.

What a stupid post. So you think if we had negotiated another contract with Ash allowing him a testimonial as well, that Brownie "Snapping his Fingers" would have resulted in the situation everyone now finds themselves in????

    You're deluded.

Yes at the end of the day it probably is but if Ash thought PB was nothing but an egotistical clown he could stay here on his £20 grand a week and try for a new contract or find a new club next season, He wouldn't be short of offers.

Listen cockroach, Ash could have decided to stay and a testimonial would have been nailed on, What I was referring to was all the past posts on various sites about players not wanting to play for PB, And if you want to exchange unpleasantries feel free, I'll give you plenty you ****ing dick.

With all respect Dean Ash also has Jimmy as his new best mate whilst most around shook their heads at his (Jimmy) lack of professionalism.

Not sure Brown is a clown but he def is egotistical.

Ashbee will never lose his status at the club regardless.

Im not sure how it works but it may be that Ash would get more money at Preston even taking into account the testimonial he would get with us. Good luck to him, he deserves it, shouldn't think he's got too long left as a player given his injury problems in the past (degenerative bone condition etc).

Ash could have decided to stay could he? How do you work that one out then. As for unpleasntries, I haven't even started yet. You posted a stupid comment and I told you so. If I had wanted to have been unpleasant I would have called you a Thick Twat as well.

You're not getting this are you, DeanyWeeney? What is your IQ? Bet it's less than your age.

Now, lets take it nice and slow. What is it that Ian Ashbee wants and why?

He only has a contract until the end of his 9th season. Who says he was going to be given another year?

No you're not. It's a stupid rule that only applies to clubs in the English league setup but we're only allowed to talk to English league based players in the last 1 or 3 months of their contract unless the club gives us permission (if Man U knew they weren't offering Stewart a new deal they could give us permission to speak to him now). We can talk to foreign based players within 6 months, and foreign based clubs can speak to anybody within 6 months but for some reason we've insisted on handicapping our clubs when it comes to dealing with Bosman transfers.

StrovolosTiger and Dean24 you are supposed to be supporting the same team.
Just because there are differences of opinion why not accept it. What is the point of falling out over minor comments
