Spurs were by all accounts no longer in for him but then Levy strikes again.

But we've already got him on a pre-contract signing from next January.

Can't imagine why he'd be upset with us not being able to get him here any earlier. I'm guessing we've tried, but sometimes, **** happens and it doesn't work out.

We've blown nearly £14m on N'Dong. So I don't get the M'Vila thing if it's about money.

There has to be something else, contractually-wise.

I'm more gutted that Defoe is on his own again upfront. To me, that's the most bizarre thing about this window.
 
Just been for a slash, or as the wife puts it "shaking hands with the unemployed" and made my seventh and last pot of coffee before the window shuts and the CNN news network from America have just described the Sissoko signing on a five year contract as the most puzzling business done this window.
