Danny Murphy's slagging off our activity in the transfer market this summer, demanding to know which of these players will improve the team.

Somebody should probably point out to him that having actual backup in positions where we didn't last season, i.e. for Kane and Dier, we've improved the team...

How did having Mr Murphy around WHL improve the team?

Correct. But this process isn't allowed to begin until just after tea time on the last day of the window. It's far less fun otherwise.
So you keep saying with exactly no evidence.
Of course it is right to keep trying to sign the right players until the last minute. It is equally right not to overpay early in the window. It is laughable for you to think that you know better than the only Spurs chairman in history to get us into the CL twice

That requires foresight and I'm pretty sure most folks of Jewish origin have that removed at an early age! <laugh>

My wife is Jewish. Kindly explain what you mean by this statement as it sounds like the sort that shouldn't be on a public forum.

So as CK says, sissoko's fee was known for ages. If we wanted him that badly, why not pay the £30m and get him in for preseason?

Simply an assumption but perhaps we did have targets elsewhere (Isco, Hakan etc) and when we realised that they may have been dead in the water and Sissoko was still looking for a new club, our attentions turned to him. The one advantage he'll have is that he knows the English game and has a bloody engine on him, so should adapt to Poch's philosophy pretty easily and hopefully a lack of pre-season with us won't be a major problem all being well as he should know what to expect in this league, albeit with different aspirations and new players.

Does it really matter to us how much Spurs pay for a player? I for one think Sissoko is worth a punt and is the type of player Spurs need. To me, it matters not a jot how much he cost. All I care about is whether the fax machine is working OK cos time is a ticking.

The more Danny Murphy goes on Talksport the more of their terrible shock jock habits he picks up.
He has gone from being a bit interesting to a no it all mouthy git...and he ain't even witty or stupid with it so he doesn't give you a laugh.
