With about 17 weeks until COC i just cannot see whats gonna be ready apart for Trinity house lane.
Mind you at least Bowlalley lane Setts are being put back in place after being replaced wuth Tarmac.

At the Freedom Festival over the weekend - fabulous! Still a lot of work to do but surprising progress over the last few weeks and the areas around the marina are really perking up.

It will be difficult for so many food places in one place to be successful IMHO. Survival of the fittest and heavy food discounts to be expected.
 
Found this interesting today, don't know if it's been placed on here already - Prinny Quay photos from its 90's heyday when it was busy and had shops.

Sad to see it now, and I'm not convinced of its plans for the future yet. Aside from the fact that the 90's was obviously kinder to the high street & shopping centres/malls in general, PQ's current failings can't just all be blamed on that. Sure, there's also been recessions and the rise of internet buying, but you walk round it now and it's seriously dilapidated, the pride has gone from it. I know it was newer in these pics, but you walk in today and the degradation is obvious immediately. It doesn't just need new shops & restaurants, it needs general maintenance. Cracked tiles covered with duct tape, peeling tint on the windows, signs ripped down and not replaced, just left blank. I know it's had hard times but hasn't had the requisite attention from its owners either, IMO!

An interesting trip down (recent) memory lane. I remember going in the same sports shops in there every Saturday looking at the same things with my mates and having no money to spend on anything in any case. Happy dayz.
 
So, I don't like being negative on such matters. But what's with the nasty looking red and grey concrete paving slabs, they've started laying in various locations. Carr Lane being an example.

Did they run out of the nice stuff.

That's almost a year old, I think it's changed a bit since then and I don't think they've actually got funding to start it yet.
