Wow we sold Gnabry for £5m??? That's peanuts for someone of his talent. Also why wasn't he given more chances before shipping him out? I'm sure if he was English he would have got a lot more chances.
That clip doesn't prove anything. I've seen Walcott do some nifty moves when through on goal, doesn't mean he does it all the time. To be a success at the highest level, you have to do it on a consistent basis, something Walcott or Welbeck don't do. But if i was going to keep one of them, it would be Welbeck, based on his workrate, tracking back, energy and strength. He makes a good bench player for the last 15-20 minutes.
So. After trying to whore himself out to Arsenal over the past few years, it appears Moussa Sissoko is now on the verge of completing a £30m move to Tottenham. He has all the physical attributes to do well at the highest level, but his poor work-rate and lack of application may well be his downfall. If Spurs are serious about competing, they can't afford to be carrying journeymen like him. He flatters to deceive far too often. Personally, I think selling Chadli and replacing him with Sissoko is a bad move. The former is a better and more productive winger than the latter would be for them, but hey ho. Also seen we're in for Miguel Almiron. 22-year old Paraguyan international midfielder. I know bugger all about him. Would he be worth getting? Where would he fit in amongst Elneny, Xhaka, Coquelin, Ramsey, Cazorla and Ozil? Would be a bizarre move, if true.
What? I posted that gif as a reply to 2 gifs of Wellbeck making mistakes. And yeah you basically agreed with the point I was making.
Tottenham are going to have a HUGE side. Dier, Wanyama, Sisssoko Alli, Dembele ... All well over 6'0.
Weird that Palace or Bournemouth seem the favs for Wilshere - I mean Palace have got some good players but I'd have thought Wilshere would either go abroad and gain a different skillset or go to a bigger team...
I think Palace would be a really good move for him. Tough team, who like to play creative attacking football. He'll be a starter for sure and I think the experience will be really beneficial.
But if he clicks, he will be close to unplayable. Personally i think it's worth the risk as he can do some serious damage in the Premiership and push Spurs to the next level. But it's all down to him and his attitude, if he responds well to Pochettino, then Spurs will even harder to beat. It's a shame we haven't got a powerhouse of a midfielder like that.
Xhaka doesn't fit that mould, a very good midfielder but isn't the powerful ,unplayable types like Vieira, Yaya or Pogba. I agree with you that Sissoko isn't worth £30m, but neither is Xhaka for £35m. But this is the market we are in, everything is over inflated.
A good move as long as he plays at least 15-20 games. I hope it doesn't become a Roman Holiday for him!
