Regardless, it won't happen, we're stuck with the KC, and we'll end up fixing it when it starts falling down, FC won't.

The SMC are responsible for the upkeep of the stadium.......not Hull City & Not Hull FC

Hull City & the SMC are separate companies.....it just happens that often the owners of Hull City also own the SMC ......but it could in theory quite possibly be owned by an entirely different person/organisation .....not that I expect it due to the money it loses but you could even end up with the Chinese owning the club & the Allams still owning the SMC

It's effectively one owner, it can make as big a loss, or as big a profit, as the owner wants it to make.

I've got four companies, if one makes too much money, I can just make a management charge on another company to reduce my liabilities.

Though it's not a problem I've had to worry about recently. :emoticon-0106-cryin

Why does the athletics track have to be under threat ?
The old boulevard ground, which they all sing about, had a speedway track around it and the old Craven Park had a dog track around theirs. I don't see a problem.

There are also throwing areas into the middle where perhaps a pitch would be put. The other alternative is the park outside the Athletics track but as has been said this is well used by all sorts of different teams and traning groups and is also an area the local community use a lot so either way there would be a lot of unhappy people should this go ahead.

My point is though that it does not have to be ...the Allams could sell City & retain the SMC if they were mad enough

But they haven't, so it's irrelevant.

The reality is that without control of the stadium, the club is worth less, so nobody's going to buy one without the other.

All of which is made even more irrelevant by the fact that this story's a complete load of bollocks.

Does anyone really think our "potential" new owners will buy the Kcom and still have Hull FC playing there if they take sole ownership of it?

I think HCC have to sell the Kcom, can they afford not to? Not as much as in "cash" terms but development(s) around the city.

If the "ground" is sold, surely it is to a new owner other than it's founder, so they can change or amend the terms as to who uses the stadium?

Or they price FC out?

There is nothing to prevent HCC allowing development of the area around the KCOM whilst retaining ownership

Any sale would potentially leave HCC out of pocket if Sport England etc demanded repayment of grants made to help fund the build....the grants are probably more than the current sale price being mentioned

The current scheme is designed to prevent a Lloys style lockout of Hull City happening to either Hull City or Hull FC

We need to get away from the idea that the KCOM is Hull City's stadium.....it's not....it is a community stadium & City are nothing more than tenants

Our potential new owners are not going to develop the area around the ground or anywhere else in the city if ownership is not part of any deal.

If the ground isn't purchased then, the SMC is purchased, do they just not increase monies due from FC for stadium upkeep etc etc?

And you have inside knowledge & know that how ??

We do not even know if the new owners have any plans to develop the site at all

I'm sure Adam Pearson would.....as one of the main characters involved in persuading HCC to invest millions of public money into the scheme would be quick....as owner of Hull FC to remind HCC why the KCOM was built

Don't get upset, it's only my opinion.

HCC seem to be chomping at the bit, they are bemused our new owners haven't been hammering the door down to talk to them about the ground.

First steps first, I think they will be interested in the purchase of the ground (eventually), HCC either sell or they don't.

If they do, i can't see FC being there long term.

How do you know HCC are chomping at the bit ? I know a number of people in HCC at both elected & unelected level & do not sense any such excitement as you are suggesting

HCC will no doubt be pleased to see the back of the Allams & will be more willing to discuss some kind of joint venture with the new owners if they are interested........but there is nothing to be gained by them selling the stadium......it would end up costing them money & would alienate the FC fans in the City

It would only take a few of them to demand a public enquiry over the sale of a community stadium & the possible loss of millions in public funds to find any possible sale blocked by central government.....they would love a big stick like that to beat HCC with

Ok, i don't see it that way. Haven't they already said somewhere they would sell for around the 20mill mark or am i mislead?

Would they "as owners of the SMC" just up the rent to FC and make them pay more towards pitch relaying, ground improvement, capacity increase etc?

Wasn't the ground built from the KC windfall money?

What are the grants you talk of? Surely now the ground is worth half what they paid (approx), the grants are no longer repayable?

No......it was just a silly off the cuff twitter remark & did not come from HCC

Burnsy has tried to distance himself by saying that there may be no story there to report
