I'd argue that Syd would argue that point Peter.Syd will say something like all our medicals have to be held in Hull
When everybody disagrees with him Syd will act hurt and say everybody is trying to cause an argument for no reason.

There's not many on that list that you think 'Wow'.
Hendrick and Mason would be OK and Marshall - but up front the names mentioned are all really risky. Goals are the business end of the pitch, again we're shopping in poundland.
I think you're confusing the two not me. The value of the painting is the sale price, which constitutes the market value + goodwill which is the intangible value that makes up the difference.I think you are confusing cost with value.
He's not like that, is he?I'd argue that Syd would argue that point Peter.
And how would this affect the sale if the price has been agreed? If the buyers buy the club for £100m but the rest of the world only thinks the club is only worth £40m then they will be very upset when they want to sell.
They signed cambiasso the season they stayed up who was pretty wow.We won't sign any "wow" players for another season and that depends on us staying up. Lesta had no wow players and they won the league. We need all of the players on the list posted by Rick whilst keeping the team spirit...
I think you are basing your comments on a basic accounting book and not a valuation book.I think you're confusing the two not me. The value of the painting is the sale price, which constitutes the market value + goodwill which is the intangible value that makes up the difference.
At which point goodwill gets written off. I think Pete is out of his depth. And how would this affect the sale if the price has been agreed?
I admit the buyers may be a little disappointed 3 years down the line but that is the nature of business.
Actually I'm directly quoting from valuation theory. I actually have no idea what you're on about.I think you are basing your comments on a basic accounting book and not a valuation book.
Seconded, and it's totally rational.I have an irrational dislike of Wilshere. Not sure why, he's always injured - personal opinion but I think he's ****. No, I wouldn't want him at City.
Very good player at U21 level, in fact way too good for that. Has had very limited first team opportunity's and been very unlucky with injuries. If given a decent run in the first team I expect him do develop into a very good striker. And that's that.
Now back to transfers.
What's your thoughts on Keane?
They signed cambiasso the season they stayed up who was pretty wow.
I think Pete has this in mind and is doing this deliberately. I've tried to steer the conversation back to transfers twice now.Looking good for 400 pages before a signing then...
Do you know much about hernandez? Would Keane complement him?Very good player at U21 level, in fact way too good for that. Has had very limited first team opportunity's and been very unlucky with injuries. If given a decent run in the first team I expect him do develop into a very good striker.
I didn't say it would affect the sale. You don't seem to understand the issue here. I said that Syd works out valuation based on the accounting entries rather than an understanding of valuation. He's shown that he doesn't understand valuation by saying that if a type of painting is only worth £100k but one person stupidly pays £10m for a similar painting that it's suddenly worth £10m. This is even if it could only be sold for £100k.And how would this affect the sale if the price has been agreed?

He is basing his comments on the fact the price has been agreed, you are trying to say player purchases will/can change that.I think you are basing your comments on a basic accounting book and not a valuation book.
