Fair enough Beef, I don't agree but I respect that opinion.

One of my closest friends got drunk 20 odd years ago with his best mate (who was meant to be driving). My mate was less drunk so took the wheel, crashed, and ended up killing his best friend. He did two and a half years inside, became alcoholic and with drug addictions because of the guilt. I had to rescue him after one of his 'sessions' from his **** and blood strewn flat and we managed to get him as an inpatient in a clinic.

He's been dry now for 7 years and runs iron man triathlons to raise money for mental illness charities, and runs an incredibly successful business in Dubai. He's a hugely positive influence in my life.

One of my first girlfriends was killed by a driver who was coked up and pissed when we were 18. He did time and now doesn't drink and runs a successful business. I'm friends with him still.

It's crap and awful, but we have (pretty much) all done stupid things when we were younger, and for the majority of us, there but for the grace of god to be honest. As long as people have learned, I absolutely believe in second chances.
You are more forgiving then me. But at least they admitted their wrongs. Most footballers don't.

On another note:

Leicester close to the joint signing of Adrien Silva and Slimani for around €70m.

Oh absolutely re the first point. People can learn, but if they don't, then **** them - they can have some of Sotonsaints justice!

Leicester seem to be doing some great business this season.

At the real risk of taking this more off subject. Alonso did not face trial, thrown out for 'taking too long' or some such bollocks. Got a driving ban thats all. He has not expressed regret. There were many rumours of backhanders and payoffs, all I'm sure untrue.
Anyway he's soiled the transfer thread enough.

I can't understand why WBA don't just offload Berahino, rather than rejecting anything which isn't a massive offer. He doesn't want to be there, he hardly scored a goal for them last season, they'll lose him on a free transfer in 12 months time if they keep him, and unless bridges are repaired (even if just temporarily) they'll have the next 12 months of negativity from both parties on the training ground and in the dressing room for that whole time.

If you MURDER someone then yes, 25 years minimum is fair enough. However, if you unintentionally kill someone, although serious and deserves a prison sentence, does not mean your life should be completely ruined. I think a minimum term of 10 years for causing death by dangerous driving would be fair.

Maybe their Board are standing strong and not selling their best players.... <whistle>

Reckon someone will take him on deadline day.

I should of stated I meant murder,my apologies.

With drink driving you drive knowing full well the risks and if you hit someone then only your self to blame, just as bad as murder in my book.

Well no, if you murder someone you mean to go out and kill them. If you drink drive you're being an arse, but you don't go out with the expressed intent of taking a life. Far from it.

Indeed. I'm just surprised that they've waited until the end of the window.

Maybe it takes some time to sign players after negotiations, post Euros, negotiating to see if current players stay.... Maybe it hasn't been us being bad, not having everything in place at the start of the window!

I don't think they've "waited" that's just the process.

'Killing' someone is murder or manslaughter and each have their own criteria, you can't have a blanket punishment "no arguments" to cover everything.

Sorry must have posted the same time as you so didn't see this.

The whole point of murder is your intent to kill/commit GBH, hence drink driving cases not being murder.

I obviously know drink driving isn't murder. Anyway back to football .

Not been home long, but has one of our recent signings killed someone i) on purpose or ii) by accident

Well, I believe he has murdered his attempt at growing even a Lallana TwatBeard.

Liverpool wont want him until that fluff comes on just a little more.

And Nivea have put their sponsorship on hold until he reaches proper puberty.
