Nearest clubs close to Heathrow Reading or Brentford? He could fly in every Friday and leave on Sunday for his recovery time.
Elsewhere, Crystal Palace want Everton’s James McCarthy but are not prepared to pay the £20m asking price (Mirror),Sunderland face competition from Valencia for £7m-rated Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra (Sunderland Echo) and former Black Cats striker Asamoah Gyan is set for loan move to Reading from Chinese side Shanghai SIPG, where he currently earns £227,000 a week (Get Reading). Which means that either the Chinese will continue to pay him, the Royals are having a massive splurge or Gyan himself has decided that he is no longer interested in money and would just like to live a simple life in Reading. Yeah, probably not that,
VICENTE IBORRA is weighing up whether to stay in Spain or make a £7m move to Sunderland after an offer for the midfielder was accepted by Sevilla. David Moyes, the Black Cats boss, revealed his bid has been accepted by the Andalucian club but there is competition for the midfielder’s signature. The Sunderland manager also refused to rule out trying to tempt Joe Hart to Wearsidefollowing a serious injury to goalkeeper Vito Mannone. Sunderland have stepped up their interest in Iborra after becoming frustrated with Rubin Kazan’s refusal to lower their £6m asking price for Yann M’Vila, who will become a free agent at the end of his contract in January. And while M’Vila remains on the radar, having felt since the end of his loan last May that Sunderland would land him, Moyes is having to consider alternatives. Iborra, 28, would fill the defensive midfield role, but Moyes is not banking on a deal just yet. “I’m hoping to bring more in,” said Moyes, who is also interested in Tottenham's Ryan Mason. “I’ve had talks with two or three players and clubs and we’re sort of messing along with them. “So I’m hoping … we have made an offer for Iborra at Sevilla, which we believe has been accepted, we’re just not sure if it’s going to get through. I’m not sure it’s the case that it’s all done. I think there might be another club in for him.” Asked if M’Vila would be on the agenda if Iborra moved to Sunderland, Moyes added: “We need more. What I know, is that what Rubin are looking for with six months to go is ridiculous. But we’ve got other things on the go, I have to tell you. We’ve got other ones on the go.”
Moyes could be one of the busiest bosses in the next 48 hours. A loan move for Liverpool’s Danny Ings is an option unless the player decides to fight for his place at Anfield. Sevilla’s £7million midfielder Vicente Iborra is weighting up a move to the North East and Yann M’Vila is also a target, as is £4million Bristol City defender Aden Flint. Mason, who has been usurped in the Spurs pecking order by Victor Wanyama following his summer arrival, is set to follow Nacer Chadli out of Tottenham, with the Belgian having completed a £13million move to West Brom.
I hope so too. We need to just have the patience of an oyster over the next 50 hours or so, and hope for the best.
Lets say we get a miracle and we sign: Iborra, Mason, Ings in loan. We still need a goal keeper, defender and probably a winger. If Dave pulls it off and signs 5/6 players by the end of the window he will get a lot of respect from me.
