Yeah would be interesting, has kind of come out of left field. I suspect he's going to Derby and his agent is just trying to bump up his contract with them but who knows?

With Phelan saying we have had a few bids accepted it's easy for agents to fabricate us having bids accepted for their players.

Maybe but I'm pretty sure clubs managers and whatnot are all on the inside track and know a lot more about what's going on everywhere than what's written in the press.

Perhaps, you see all that paper talk about deals in China for players that push up contract values, you might be right and the actual managers don't buy into it all, but there's no doubt agents drum up the interest in their players to try and get top dollar.

Just on this Marshall thing, what do we think the thinking is? He's a good keeper but we've already got 2 very senior keepers plus an obvious 3rd choice and then an additional obvious prospect as 4th choice. Surely we can't be looking to add to that and instead are moving one on. McGregor to go when fit?

And if Marshall does sign, it's Phelan's first big test. Dropping The Jak would be unfair beyond belief.
Having seen Kuciak at Exeter, I can see why we need another keeper. It's just a bit weird that this could be the first signing (of several) when we are so short in every other position.

£5m for Marshall means he's coming in at number one, and it'll be thanks Jak, you are now back to number two!

Kusiak will be gone next Summer, and if greegsy does prove his fitness it'll be him and Marshall fighting for the number one spot which would be terrific as we've never had in recent seasons two proven keepers on the books, always an obvious number one and two!

Marshalls better in terms of capabilities and consistency than anyone we have on our books at the moment, so a progressive signing. Well done to the Jak but fear he's an accident still waiting to happen
