****ing hell, I would take Joe Hart in a heartbeat. There's no way he's as bad as everybody is making out.

I'd argue he's still good enough to be Man City's number 1, but definitely a debate there, for sure. He'd be outstanding playing for a team like us. Pickford could learn so much from him.

Couldn't disagree more fella. I watch him behind a good defence and he looks shaky. What would he be like behind a leaky defence or a defence at the bottom end.

All about opinions though. We're better off with pickford in goal IMO. Rather than spending stupid money to borrow a keeper

I think he needs a change of scenery, in all honesty. There's no way he's suddenly turned ****e.

I don't want to spend stupid money to borrow him, for the record. Undoubtedly at the moment, he would be a better option than Pickford. Pickford's time will come, but the position we are in at the moment I'd definitely rather have Hart. Pickford looked shaky today and he's going to be playing under big pressure every game because of our position and that doesn't fill me with confidence.

I'd rather have Hart for a season, hopefully we are dragged up to be a safe mid table team and I think that would then be the time to blood Pickford.

Agree completely. He is England's no.1 and that's what Pickford will be one day, it's perfect for everyone involved.

I think we need to think this trough. Hart in = Mannone or Pickford out.

I'll stick with Pickford unless or until he becomes a liability. We are back to patience again because if had been a foreigner we would have trotted out the "he needs time to settle" cliche and put it behind us.

Yesterday he was a kid who kept us in the game until he made an error so a bit more tolerance would be handy.

I don't rate Manone, for me Hart comes in this season, Pickford learns from him and becomes No.1 for next season with a full press season as no.1 under his belt. We sell Manone in Jan and then when Hart leaves at the end of the season we get a new no.2.

You'll have to explain that one, mate.

You should always look to improve the team, I'm arguing that Joe Hart would massively improve us.

Not sure why you mentioned that Pickford was a 'kid' who kept us in the game. We keep saying that if our kids are good enough, then they are old enough. It's wrong to trot out that he is just a kid, it works both ways.

Pickford let in a fairly simple goal but Kone`s getting off lightly for missing a fairly simple chance at the other end. I wouldn`t hold Pickford entirely responsible for not winning.

If he can keep a few clean sheets it will do him the world of good.

On the other hand he`ll learn a damn sight more from Hart than he will from Mannone.

Buggered if I can make me mind up which is best.

English keepers were the best in the world at one time, nearly every team was based on a solid spine starting with the keeper, in terms of ranking he like the rest of englands players are hyped up beyond belief .....shame give banks a call ,with one eye at 70 he is better than shampoo boy

Its easy to bash Hart after a poor Euros for the entire England team. People with more football knowledge than most of us on here decreed that he was the best English goalkeeper of his generation and that he was good enough to play for one of the richest clubs in Europe. As the old adage goes, form is temporary but class is permanent. If we got him for a season, it would be a major coup.

He was a debutante with ability at all levels of the game including internationals right through to U23 recently. The only way he can add to that ability is game time experience so that his potential becomes fulfilled. In 1967, one year after he won the WC with England, LCFC sold the England keeper Gordon Banks to Stoke to allow Peter Shilton to emerge. Both became "greats"
but Shilton had to wait until Banks was on his way out at international level before he got a sniff at the Engl;and job.

The main premise of my support for Pickford is that he has the ability to succeed at the highest level, is just as good a shot stopper as Hart, and his mistake is all part of that process. Moreover, why pay Hart the reported 30K a week when it could be put to better use elsewhere.

Pickford got one thing wrong today and we want to send him back to the reserves to learn from a goalie whose only attribute over Pickford is experience. I reckon Pickford will not let us down very often so is worth persevering with.

Put Mannone or Pickford up for sale and see who we get offers for.

Yedlin was more reliable than Hart when BSA had him guarding a post on free kicks!

    THIS IS PICKFORD'S TIME.

BTW, You never want a player on your team who looks like a lawyer, They always talk ****e and think they are better than they really are.

Hart thinks he is a great keeper, not many other people do. That is why there is no queue to take him, even on loan.

I can accept both your and 83s posts on Hart but like MCB and a couple of others said this is Pickfords time. Lets give him a chance.
Get Harper or Schwarzer as cover. Would be cheaper than £7 mil loan deal.
