watched southhampton v man u, and was thinking about our forward dilema, watching owen, although best days have gone now maybe he would compliment gyan, a natural scorer, one chance and goal, he will always have something to give. goal poachers are a rare breed to find, owen, skp, defoe, fowler and lately db, all get goals but always play with another striker. am i thinking way of line, and its going to be sess playing behind gyan, or do you think it will be 4-4-2 again
Morning Commachio, sorry would had to politly disagree. I would prefer to go for a gamble on a forward like Charlie Austin, Adam Le Fondre or Conor Wickham, learn off Gyan and other more experienced players. Owens wage demands would be HUGE he strikes me as a greedy sod as well.
I agree with 'Sunderlad' ( a name I haven't seen for a while ) . . . . Owen's definately a greedy 'has-been'
Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! He'd want too much money. Unless he accepted, say, ÃÆÃââââ¬à ¡ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã20k per match (nowt if not available) I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.
Afraid I agree with the rest- Owen's just after another pay day. I'd rather take a gamble on a youngster with Welbeck & Cambell waiting in the wings.Got a sneaky feeling Brucey may have a surprise up his sleeve! If you were after a veteran I've always had a liking for Robbie Keane & you get the feeling he's still got something to prove?
Im in agreement with the majority here. A mercenary , injury prone footballer who's best days are well behind him. When he signed for the scunks the writing was on the wall
Nooooooo...Nooooooooooooooooo...And thrice nooooooooooooooooooooooooo.... He is only a shadow of the player he once was...
