Not one to panic or be a knee jerk panty wetter or anything, but I would say having a fit squad of 14 players with just 5 days left of a 100 odd day transfer window, whilst already being relegation favourites, would tend to try anyone's patience- I hope the Allam Out chants are louder than ever tomorrow, just as I hope the support for the team is.

Maguire is a championship class defender and £7million is a great price for him. Yes, we are short on Centre Halves (understatement!) but we cannot afford to turn down an offer this good. Yes he always gives 100% - so did Wayne Brown - but it's not enough at this level.

No one knows if he'll make the step up or not, he's much stronger than Wayne Brown & overall reads the game better.
A lot of people thought Ash wouldn't step up to PL level, look what happened there!

Pointing out I'm a moderator all the time just makes you look an even bigger **** than everyone thought you were already.

Maguire obviously lacks pace, whether he can step up to the Premier League remains to be seen, I'm more than happy to wait and find out.

I never saw Ashbee as a weak link, though, I always thought he was a pretty good footballer. His volley against Blackburn in our first PL season was pretty damn good.

Possible bids seemingly accepted
Rodriguez- ST from Southampton- competing with WBA
Marshall- GK from Cardiff-
Mason-Mid Spurs- competing with Sunderland? (though they have also reportedly bid for a midfielder from Sevilla)

Possible interest?
Chambers- RB/CB from Arsenal- would be competing with a host of clubs
Richards- RB/CB from Villa- seemingly on his way to Turkey

All of those foreign types we were linked with seem to have been speculation or coming to nothing
Anything else I've missed?
