If he does play 25 games then he's probably going to be worth signing.
It will mean he is even better than Love, Jones and Matthews (if we still have him, I'm lost as to who's still ours or not)
Option to buy would have been great with some of our loans, we all know some of the successful ones like Rose, Welbeck, Alonso, Evans and others.
If it's handled right this is a good thing.

Agreed but that only happens if the lending clubs want to sell. Those loans were purely for the benefit of their home clubs ( the fact that it helped us was a side issue) and there was never any intention of parting with them.

Reading this lot led me to think our club just can't win.
We've been slating them for very little transfer activity and soon as we get someone through the door he's being pulled to pieces cause he might have a clause in his loan contract.
Can't we just be happy that we've actually signed a right back.:emoticon-0121-angry

We haven`t. We`ve borrowed one. We`ll sign him if he turns out to be good enough.

No idea if he`s any good or not tbh. Time will tell I suppose.

Our recent transfer antics are not exactly instilling confidence. That`s the way it is for me anyway.

We needed a first choice RB so happy we've got one, a one rated so highly too. Feel sorry for Josh Robson though. Not only is he pushed down the pecking order to the first team, he could well be playing second fiddle to Love in the U23 league. Not sure how I feel about that. Maybe a season long loan for the lad. He must not be left to rot.

A six month loan would be better for us just in case we need him.

i wont write him off yet; i've only seen him play once. just a bit o fun at his expense. i'm hoping both he and mcnair will be decent players.

What they need is to be mentored by 'senior' professionals as being thrown in at the deep end doesn't always work! I've been to both home games and categorically say that their distribution is terrible :emoticon-0149-no:

Early days for both lads <whistle>

Aye as is tradition at Sunderland we've given them the worst possible ways to make their debuts, heaping pressure on them. Baptisms of fire aren't the best way to judge them.

both 21 years old. absolute madness having them as first choice players. baptism of fire sounds too nice a phrase for what these lads are going thru
