At least Forster won't be acting like a dick in the tunnel before kick off.

F***ing and blinding as loudly as possible with a camera and mic 2 feet in front of you and whilst holding a young impressionable mascots hand..........what a lovely moment that was.

Ban him for 6 months before Koeman gets his wallet out.

Hart should benefit from all this. He believed his own hype and the majority of his goalkeeping errors have been a result of his arrogance and forgetting of the fundamentals.

As in he began to believe he was Head and Shoulders above the rest?

I wonder if the shampoo companies are now considering the possibilities of a certain Loreal Romeu instead....?

Maybe all of England's players can benefit from this.
Many England players will have their noses pushed out of joint, whilst Mourhino, Pep, Klopp et al show zero loyalty to English players, that can be replaced by better foreign players, in the chase for honours.
Can't wait for the first England get together, with Big Sam telling his squad that they "need to be playing regular first team football, at any team, to be considered for a call up". Would make a change from the Hodgson spiel of needing to play for a "big club".
Who knows, we may even have an English player thinking "Maybe a move to Southampton, for regular football, will get me a game for England?" <laugh>

Well it worked for Bertrand! :)

By showing some "passion"? All the media / fans slate England for having no passion, when someone tries to do different, they get called a dick. Doomed if you, doomed if you don't.
Yeah passion... That's what it was...

Watching West Ham crash out of Europa and two thoughts

1. 1 less premiership team in Europe competing for players

2. Only takes 3 or 4 badly timed injuries and squads like West Ham and Southampton can look very thin ans short of genuine quality. We need to cover all bases.

Stop with the sensible posts.

Cant we revel in those bastards getting knocked out for an hour or so first...

But yep, agree but I would say that about most if not all teams.

Holy **** Arsenal are signing both a striker and a centre back <yikes>

On the Hart front I'm sure he'll find a decent club. I'd quite like to see him go abroad.

I also think he should still be England no.1 as (imo) he's a better keeper than Forster. Needs regular football of course though

Thursday 25th August

Dear Diary

Morning: Today started nicely with a warm story that Fonte is staying. I'm being cautious though as there is a week to go yet. Feet on the ground.

Afternoon: news breaks that Arsenal have snuck in to steal a striker from under the noses of the lying strawberry blonde twat at Everton. Saints have big bid for sexy player accepted. feet now tapping away a bit.

Evening: Shammers **** up in Europe. No european football at the council flat this season. Possibly miss out on a couple of signings now. Feet jumping wildly.

Thanks Diary. Lovely day.

Palace owner Steve Parish has just phoned in to talkSPORT to address the Wilfried Zaha situation...

“There is absolutely no chance Zaha will leave Palace in this window. We don’t have to sell to Tottenham, it’s not like it was before. We are not selling him in this transfer window. I want to reassure all the Palace fans and the manager.

“I have not spoken to the player. I think the manager and the player might have had a conversation, but I am the chairman of the club and he is not going anywhere. He might have to get his head around that, but that’s the reality.

“It is difficult for Wilfried because a big club have come in for him, but we want to finish ahead of these clubs. We need to convince Wilfried that he can achieve what he wants here and that conversation will happen once the transfer window is closed.

“What I don’t understand is that they make a bid on a whim and then it appears in the newspaper. It’s fine to make a bid, but it is a different thing that it is in the Daily Mail before we know about it.

“They have three months to get it a strategy in place for transfers and then a week before the window end, they come in with a bid. What does that say (about Spurs)?

“Wilfried represents a lot to our football club. He is a talisman for our club and we have already made some risky moves this summer. Wilfried Zaha will not go in this transfer window, that is our strategy.

“When I make a bid for a player, I don’t tell the Daily Mail about it. I don’t know why they need to know about it.”
