How's FFP going to affect them if they don't go up? Have they got loads of money in from player sales?
I was going to ask about Newcastle too but after your last revelation about the money they'd received I won't bother with them!

They've generated over £15m through player sales, but the relegated teams get a lot of leeway under the FFP rules, so it's possible to have a real go at getting straight back up.

Valencia and McCormack up front with Rudy Gestede waiting in the wings would tear the championship to pieces.

Still unsure about the rest of the team though, particularly the midfield. They still aren't as strong as I expected them to be yet.

Jedinak is a really good signing. I can see Villa being right up at the top.

Bristol City have signed England U19 defender Taylor Moore from Lens for £1.5m on a three-year deal.

Newcastle United are close to signing 24-year-old Palermo left-back Achraf Lazaar.

Manchester City have completed the signing of goalkeeper Claudio Bravo from Barcelona (€18m + €2m add-on's).

AC Milan have rejected Chelsea's latest bid of £34m for defender Alessio Romagnoli. [Sky Sports]

With their plethora, would any of their stiffs be worth taking purely as back-up? Just to get a body through the doors. I was thinking Gestede from Villa might be good on the bench.

Not really, if they're flopping in the Championship they probably aren't worth looking at.

They're also looking at Hogan at Brentford.

So that'd be Hogan, Vydra, Bent, Martin, Blackman, Kamara, Wilson, Weimann, Russell and Bennett if they came off.

****ing idiots.
